Wow. There really are some weird people. I agree with everyone else. Get ahold of her and see what she would like to do. Just say you are getting numbers and touching base with everyone so you know what it will cost.

I wonder if she booked into a group travel to get a good deal on a vacation. Did she get one?

Funny this should come up….

I also have a weird situation. A girl who I kind of know through some friends asked if she could go to Cabo because she knows many of the same people that I do and they are going. We have a weekend of events planned and I told that she is welcome to attend all of the events but the ceremony and reception are full. I did tell her if someone cancelled that she could have their place, but, it would be unlikely.

She is a sweet person. But the fact is that neither my FI nor I really know her that well. There are 31 peopled attending our wedding all of whom I consider to be a very important part of our life. I like it that way.

Anyway. Long story short, she bought her ticket and is going. A few weeks ago she cornered me at a party when she was heavily intoxicated and tried to guilt me into letting her go to the wedding. And now Iâ€ve heard through mutual friends that she is extremely upset and is complaining about how she should cancel her trip because I wonâ€t let her go to my wedding!

Crazy!

Someone did cancel, but, Iâ€m not giving her their seat. I doesnâ€t feel right. I guess I am big B$%CH! Screw it. LOL!

It's funny that this topic came up, because my sister and I were just talking about it. So many people have invited themselves to Jamaica for our wedding! I can't imagine ever doing something like that, but I guess these people just think it's free or something. So far, only a few of them are coming, and I do think the more the merrier, but I think it's sorta weird too.

Amber, definitely stand your ground. If you don't want this person at the wedding, then you don't have to have her there.

Mo, I guess just get in contact with her, like everyone else said, and see what she is expecting.

weird!!!!! people are so funny - that reminds me of a trip i took to jamaica in grad school - me and a really good friend who was going through a divorce - we were having coffee and this girl i was in grad school with was at the same place as us - she joined us for coffee and we were talking about the trip and she basically was like "that sounds great - can i come?" at the time we were like "the more the merrier" b/c we didn't think she would really come along and the next week she calls me and is like "i booked the trip and the same flight". we were like WTF? it was weird!!!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
