June 2014 Bride but can't decide on the resort

We are going on vacation to Secrets Silversands in May 2013. We like the area and the resort. For our wedding next year, we will have at least 4 teenagers so an all-adult all-inclusive is not an option. I am considering Azul Beach, Azul Sensatori and Now Jade. Can anyone advise me on pros and cons for each?

Hi Jenny - welcome to BDW!!

If you haven't already, hit up the Riviera Maya section - NOW Jade and AS both have very active threads, and both are popular with brides. Good luck, and happy planning!

Hi Jenny!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! We have planned many weddings at all three properties, and I would highly recommend that you look at the Azul properties. They are fantastic for weddings, have great vendors and amenities really aimed at pleasing brides. We plan countless weddings here every year and the bride and groom always come home and tell us how perfect everything went!

If you have any further questions, we would be happy to discuss the resorts further with you - feel free to PM us your contact details!

Happy Planning!

My wedding planner was having a lot of trouble getting a response from NOW Jade plus I read a lot of complaints from brides on the NOW Jade forum saying it was taking a long time for the WC there to get back to them.  I decided I don't want to be bothered and stressed out.  We are visiting Azul Beach and Azul Sensatori in about 3 weeks.  I know one of these will be right for us.

I wouldn't totally rule out NOW Jade just because the WC is taking a while to respond. That's pretty typical in Mexico (I ran into it with EDR - sister property to the Azul's). It all gets worked out fine though - the onsite WC's are pros and will throw the wedding of your dreams. I am partial to the Karisma resorts myself, but NOW Jade was also one of our top choices. You're so lucky to be able to do site visits!! Good luck, and happy planning!

AllieH is completely right - the on site wedding coordinators, especially as this time of the year, are not at their desks often, so response times are much slower! We deal with this on a daily basis and just advise our brides that this does happen and it does not mean that the on site team is not on top of things. They just have a lot of weddings and can't spend as much dedicated time on each individual bride as your own wedding planner can!

Happy Planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
