I believe if you avoid oil based products and waterproof mascara they last around 3-4 weeks....I'm not really sure of any other ways to make them last longer, hopefully someone else on here has some more ideas!

Umass, you are correct but why would even bother with mascara? Isn't that the point if the extensions? In the 4 months that I've been getting mine done I've never used mascara

Absolutely!!  That's one of the main reasons I'd get them :)    Mascara, to me, is one of the most annoying parts of my beauty routine....thats why I have a feeling that if I get extensions i will be addicted and they will be my new habit  :)

I would think Chicago has got to have someone that can do it well.  If I can find a Groupon deal, I think this might be on my schedule!

Hey, I started getting eyelash extensions about a month and half ago, it was for our wedding, but i am hooked!

There is this great place in chicago-

http://www.eyelashextensionschicago.net/

It is 135$ for a full set and $65 for fill. They have amazing reviews and are really good. I would be skeptical of the places that are that cheap-$59 for a full set, since mink eyelashes anywhere are $300. This place is usually $300 as well, but they have deals going on at times.

Also, I had my eyelashes done for the wedding and I loved it. I jumped into pools, layed in the sun, went underwater, and they stayed on for the entore trip and two weeks afterwords before I went to get them filled.

they are very addicting!!! i haaated putting on mascara before, and one eye always looked better then the other, or i would put too much and it clumped. No more mascara for me!!!

I believe that you cant get them wet within the first 24hrs after that you can swim, etc.  Also no need for mascara with the eyelash extensions.

I concur, and after about 3 weeks you should get a refill no more than 4 weeks.

Have you had your extensions done before? I'm afraid they will make my real lashes fall out.

I live in Schaumburg and am getting them done at this place in Elk Grove. If you google "Chicago Eyelash Extensions" there are some downtown (not sure where you live) and one that even is mobile and will come to you!

The one I'm going to in Elk Grove is $115 for a full set and they last 6-8 weeks. I know it's a splurge, but I decided I deserved it haha :) Of course my FI thinks they're absurd, but whatever.

He won't think they're absurd once he's see's them; they're kind of sexy!  When I get a fresh set, I give my eyes about 2 days rest from removal of the old set.   My Fi's first question... When are you getting your lashes back on?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
