I ended up with an awesome deal from VistaPrint and ended up with 100 magnets for like $40 and they arrived in 4 days even though I paid for standard shipping! It was very simple to upload our photo and add the text. I sent STD cards (there is a thread with pics of them under "Sarah C's STD's) with the magnets inside. I have gotten tons of compliments on my magnets and people have told me how convenient it is to have that on their fridge to remember our website.

Of the magnets you posted, I like the heart in the sand the best.

What do you think? Part me me thinks these are kinda cute, different, and people can just put them on their 'fridge as a reminder. The other part of me thinks they're pretty cheesy. There are obviously many options for styles, but what do y'all think of the general idea? Be honest!!
Magnets are great for all the reasos the other girls allready stated. What are your wedding colors? Maybe you could try to tie the colors together with your STD or Wedding invite.

Sarah those are gorgeous. What a great picture.

QUESTION: How much more expensive it it to send these magnets out? They must be heavier than a regular invite. How many stamps?

Perfect - if I have something to start from, I can make that work.

As for wedding colors, I am glad someone started that thread. I love the ideas of blues and greens, but I wanted more "subtle" colors for the ceremony. This sounds like what you did, Tammy. I want the reception to be more festive, and have brighter colors - but didn't want a ton of distractions for the ceremony.

Jackie- I don't know how much more they would cost, but I don't think very much. They are like 2x3 inches, and I just tucked them inside my STD card. Most likely if you put them inside a regular card you could still get away with one stamp. I was sending out a big bundle of stuff and it cost about $4 each. I sent a card, a picture frame, and the magnet- see the link below:

By the way Tammy- I always go to her website to check out what she's making for other people and I saw your awesome monograms! They turned out great!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
