Save The Date Magnets - Opinion?

Ok, I want your honest opinions. When shopping for STDs I ran across the STD Magnet. Here are some examples -

What do you think? Part me me thinks these are kinda cute, different, and people can just put them on their 'fridge as a reminder. The other part of me thinks they're pretty cheesy. There are obviously many options for styles, but what do y'all think of the general idea? Be honest!!

We did regular STDs and some STD magnets as well for peopel to put on their fridge. I think they're cute and helpful because we're asking people to remember a date that's so far away.

 

We got 25 for free and paid for another 25 for like $12 or something at Vistprint. It wasn't anything spectacular but here it is:

I looked at some of your websites and they look cute. If you have time to wait you may want to sign up on Vistaprint.com and they'll email you when you can get things for free (but pay shipping) and you can get the first 25 free and then the additional ones for pretty cheap. I like them - the magnets actually look a lot cuter than the picture - higher quality - not pixel-y at all.

We also did magnets and people loved them. Plus its right on their fridge so they won't forget what your wedding date is. I find that many people either loose or throw out the invites/STD cards so I wanted to be sure they would have something to remind them.

Very good point - I think this is the route we are going to go. Paul loves the idea, and anything he is excited about I'm tempted to go with ... he tends to be quite passive in this wedding planning thing!

ann, magnets are a great idea...lots of brides do it and i try to post "free" coupons when i get them so you can get them for free...

 

always check the "freebies" folder to see if any promotions are running.

ann, we did save the date magnets from vista print and they were really cheap! I got alot of compliments on them! also we have a website so we didn't want people to forget the domain! looking at the links you posted above i love the heart in the sand, i think that is really cute!

I think that the magnets are pretty popular around here. And as a guest I would love to receive one. I mean, who doesn't need a magnet?!?!

If you're eager to get started you could even go to Vistaprint and create your magnet - save it to your account and when the freebie option becomes available jump on it!

 

I actually did something a little weird which was I did regular STD cards (also from Vistaprint - also "free" though I bought extra and uploaded my own images). And then I got like 50 magnets which I sent out together only to people who were really close to us and who I knew planned on coming. So not every person my parents invited (some of which I don't know or have never met) got the magnet but everyone got the STD card. We really just got them on a whim at checkout because we could get so many for so little money it seemed worth it.

 

There's also a store called MagnetQueen.com or Themagnetqueen.com - something liek that which I think does a lot.

I just ordered our STD magnets from Vista Print today. Even without any special offer to begin with, when I went to purchase them, they gave additional discounts. It was $45 for 50, with seven day shipping and a proof. I used their design tool and it was pretty easy. And I ended up with 100 because they offered me an additional 50 more for $11 after I made my order and of course, I love a sale so I couldn't resist that )

 

I got a sample from magnetqueen and it was pretty nice. They seemed more expensive though and took a really long time to send me the sample. www.giftfulheart also has some cute ones and they are really responsive if you e-mail them.
