Hi everyone,

Am so excited to share my first DIY for our wedding. It's a combination of several idea seen on here and other websites so I wanted to give back too!

We found the boxes for them at the Christmas tree store. If you have in your city, I highly recommend. There were only 3 wooden boxes but luckily there were tin boxes that had the same face and 2 small wooden boxes which I decided would be perfect for my brothers :)

I was hesitant at first about the passports but now they are my favorite part. Also, my FI spotted them at the store and was like " I want those in my boxes!" so I went with it. I'm glad I did because they worked out perfectly to place information about the wedding, their role, what they may wear. We also printed out a pic of each of them and stuck in the place where the usual passport photo goes...

Here is the breakdown of prices.

The boxes were all on sale already plus their was an extra 50% of sale prices so they were a really good buy!!

Auto Wood Box LG 1.49 each * 3= $4.47

Auto Metal Box Lg .99 each * 3= $3

Auto Wood Box Sm 1.24 each *2 = $2.48

Total= 9.95 - minus tax

The margarita mix 8.99 * 2= 17.98= 2.24 per person

Don Julio Nips 4.99 * 8= 39.92

Passports 2.39 from Michael's...they were 40% off. Went to A.C. Moore and found them for 2.99 without a discount! So I feel like I got ripped off because I could also used a coupon at A.C. Moore which would of made it cheaper. But lesson learned.

We also spend like an additional 5 for printing the pictures for the passports.

All in all I think we spend about $12 for each.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
