Sandals brides: What are wedding payment options?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, my question is to brides who already booked and close to their wedding or who had wedding at Sandals resorts.

I had to create separate thread, for some reason Sandals/Beaches thread doesn't get bumped when you post in there.

I am getting married at Sandals Negril in July 2013.

Their policy is to pay for everything 60 days prior to travel. How true is it? Did they have any compromise with you? They want us to pay every single thing up front: reception, photographers, dj, etc etc however I read one of the brides said they allowed to purchase everything on the site, when they arrived. Did someone experience that? What did you do?

I find it a bit confusing and scary to pay over $11 000 for something we have only seen in pictures. I want to be able to see and choose before paying, but Miami office insists on choosing everything now and pay up front.

Thanks in advance for responses.

Yes, we have TA, she booked our hotel and we already paid for it, but we also have separate wedding coordinator from Sandals. My wedding coordinator in Miami is Chloe and she insists that i have to pay for all wedding related stuff up front as well - make up and hair in their spa, flowers, table set ups, dj, reception etc etc.

I'm using them for everything, they do not allow outside vendors, thanks God they contracted professional photographers and now I don't have to worry about photography at least.

I don't know if I like one thing or another without seeing it. I'm going with Beautiful Beginnings package and customizing it to fit my theme colors and we decided on sit up reception and cocktail and I have to make decision 60 days before arriving and pay for it. It really bothers me.

have decided to use someone from the outside to do my hair and make up because I can't see the work that stylist at the spa do.  I have to be able to see their work before making any commitment.  As for flowers, i am also using someone from the outside.  I am paying the resort a $250.00 set up fee,so that they can use my vase, flowers, candles etc.

I will be making my choices and paying for them bit at a time, such as the DJ and premium bar.

Good luck.  I would love to hear back from you how things went.

I am getting married at Beaches Ocho Rios on May18th. While I have paid for most things, the wedding planner over the pone didn't seem terrible rushed for me to pay for it by any certain date. Ideally I know this is what they prefer, I have a feeling that you may be ale to stretch that. I still haven't ordered my bouquets yet and I am less than 60 days out.

I am getting married at Sandals Grande Riviera in Ocho Rios on May 15 2015. It looks like you do not have to have it paid off until 3 months before your trip. We plan on having it all paid off well before that though if possible by making payments every other week. I would love information on Sandals from other brides as it is so hard to find information from people who have had a wedding there.

I'll be at SGR the same week!  We are getting married on May 10, 2015.  I've only spoken with the wedding coordinator one time and I'm sure we will again in the spring.  I just want to find good photos of the different ceremony locations ahead of traveling there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
