2014 Sandos Playacar Brides

Recommended Posts

I am also planning a wedding, hopefully around August or September of 2015, and this resort looks really nice.  I have been to Grand Sunset Princess Riviera Maya before and my fiance and I are also considering that resort since we have been there once and really enjoyed it.  If anyone has any more information about this resort I would really love to hear about it!!  Thanks in advance!!

Congrats to all!!! I am looking into the Sandos Playacar for an early 2015 wedding. I have a couple of questions I am hoping someone can help me with. The Turquoise package indicates that it includes a 3 hour private beach dinner for 30 people and a DJ. Has anyone done this instead of having the reception in a restaurant? Does this include drinks as well? I am just trying to figure out what exactly the Turquoise package includes. Any details would be very helpful!

I'm looking at the same resort for early 2015 as well. Another bride had told me that she had her 3 hour reception in the royal palapa and she had 35 ppl I think...the palapa's like a big hut with flooring right beside the beach. I think there's pics if you google online. Not sure if it includes drinks either...was wondering the same thing!

No i dont personally have any pictures, just what i have googled. They're pretty into the social network, the resort has a FB page, Pinterest & instagram loll. I feel like it helps me to relax a little seeing actual pictures. hahaha

Im looking to book for mid Jan 2015 sometime soon.

When you booked did they give you any information on whether bar was included in the Turquoise breeze package or if it is an extra?

I keep forgetting to email them this question.

From the email I received from Lupita it sounds like the food and drinks were included in the Turquoise Breeze package for 30 people. Dont quote me on that but that was my understanding from her. We still have a list of questions for her about the entire reception portion but we felt confident enough to move forward.

Hi Ladies, Congrats!!

My wedding day is getting closer and to be honest my plans changes a couple of times due to ignorant people!

I find that the info I received from the resort can be conflicting at times.  Lupita is very nice though I think the language barrier doesn't help.

We are just having a simple wedding and are trying to choose the restaurant at this time. Lupita advised that El Gauncho is the most private.  The packages are A LOT better priced than they were when I was planning last year!  For the turquoise package now would have cost me almost $15,000 last year so the package at $3000 is AMAZING!!

Still trying to iron out the plans and am writing to Lupita today.  Fingers crossed that I will get all the info I need.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
