Damn, that DID NOT paste the way I wanted it to. Anyways, it looks like you are only charged a fee if someone pays via credit card instead of bank account.

Good News! Some of the colors are now showing in-stock ... light green, dark brown, ivory ... They are still out of turquoise (but they do have light turquoise), orange, and both yellows. Hopefully, those will be in soon.

Trish - I definitely still want to order ... so if we can order by the first week of February, I think we should be fine ... we fly to Cabo on March 4th. If you're willing to receive them and re-distribute, I'm glad to call and try to negotiate a lower price and follow up on the out-of-stock colors, etc.

Carly - can we use your pay pal account?

Here's a rough game plan ...

We could set a deadline for confirming your order ... let's say - by the end of this week? January 12th.

After we have a final count - then if you'll send me the spreadsheet ... I'll call and see if I can get him to sell them to us for less than $3.50 / pc. I should have a final price by Jan. 15.

Then we could say the deadline to pay using PayPal would be by Jan. 22 --- and we could place the order the next day.

What do you think?

Also - how do we handle shipping charges? Should we just tack on $5 per person (or some other amount?).

you mean for the shipping charges from fashionunic to you? that sounds reasonable to me. and then would you send the parcels out to all the brides by collect?

I think either of those options would be good ...

If we just asked everyone to add a flat fee of $5 to their initial paypal amount - it would cover the shipping from fashionunic and everyone would probably have around $4 or so to go towards shipping to them. This seems like it might be enough in many cases --- at least for the girls in the states who are ordering less than 20 (I bet they are packed flat and fairly lightweight).

We could send the 'shipping' money in advance to whoever ends up with that task so that it minimizes any out of pocket costs ... and then just keep track of any additional shipping owed. And, just speaking for myself, if my shipping turned out to be less than what I had left of the $5 --- it could just be used towards someone who needs it ... Even paying $6 or $7 seems like a good deal.

Sounds like you have all your bases covered, Corey! So my responsibility in this would be to receive each individual payment via paypal and then make a lump sum payment to the compnay, correct? Once the list is complete, if you or Trish could send me the completed list of who ordered what/owes what, I can send a PM to all with my Paypal info. And I can easily track who I received from and who I still need from before we place the order.

They better get turquoise and orange back though!!!!

ETA: I just read the updates re: the availability of all colors - sorry for my panic attack!

Okay, as a noob on the boards, can someone please confirm how payment/receipts would be confirmed using this process. Does paypal send an email receipt of your payment? What if we need to return to the fashionunica.com for any errors in colors, etc?

Just a few questions I had prior to ordering...thanks for any feedback.

Carly --- I think that's right ... just one lump sum payment to the company ... if we go with the flat $5 for shipping / handling, then we'd just divide up the fashionunic S/H charges (which would probably be less than $1 per girl since so many are ordering) ... and then credit each with the remainder to go towards their direct shipping. I just hate for anyone to have to shell out up-front costs if we can avoid it ...

Georgiabeauty --- paypal will email you a receipt of your payment. I'll have to check and see what the return policy would be and how that would be handled! Good question though!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
