Hello All! I'm very excited to have found BDW and it has tremendously helped with some preplanning. We have finally decided on the resort and date for our DW. We have selected Friday, May 16 2014 as our symbolic ceremony at Barcelo. We are unsure which resort exactly. We are still in the preplanning stage and once we have all this finalize hopefully we can book our date in June when the airfare comes out. Any other May 2014 brides out there?

Congrats lilpbc !!! and welcome to the forum :) you've picked a great venue for your dw - the Barcelo ! It makes fantastic backdrop scenery for your wedding story in photos, and one of our favs - so great choice!

Hi all! I've just chosen Barcelo maya Palace for my DW in early May 2014. So happy that I chose this resort, it sounds and looks amazing. If anyone has any advice about what packages they chose etc that would be really helpful. I'd like the ceremony and reception to be on the beach, but since we are expecting 40+ people, the sunset package seems a little more expensive than we want to pay. Can anyone tell me the price (and if it's even possible) to upgrade from one of the other packages to a beach reception? Thanks for all your help! Mikaela

Hi Barcelo Brides of 2014!! We are having our ceremony on Feb 14, 2014, and have chosen the Barcelo Maya Tropical for our DW. Just starting to look for photographers....any recommendations? We are thinking of possibly hiring someone locally and paying for accommodations, or hiring one down there and paying for them to stay at the resort for the 2 days.
Also not sure to go with the mint breeze or the strawberry passion package. Any advice welcome. Congrats to everyone!!!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
