ok I finally figured out how to log back in and change my password here LOL

What's left on everyone's list?

I have:

- Final fitting

- buy bridal sash

- decide if I make passport welcome booklets or just go with welcome letters/cards

- wedding programs

- pack

- put together all OOTs

- sleep?  nah lol

LOL omg, what was I thinking?  With Christmas right around the corner

I know isn't it such a racket? So annoying. :(

6 weeks tomorrow until we say I DO! 6 weeks! That's not a lot of time especially since Christmas is right around the corner!

I've got:

-final dress fitting Saturday

-my Jr. bridesmaid fitting Friday night

-welcome brochure (these will be created while my boss is away over Christmas) heehee

-nag fiance about taking his groomsmen shopping for their outfits

-nag fiance about booking our Catamaran dinner cruise

-my Mom has our OOT bags and is bringing them with her (she lives in NS) so we're having an assembly party once we arrive! YAY! ha

I think that's all we have left...unless I am forgetting something.......great now I'm worried I'm forgetting stuff! But really, not a lot left to do, I'll have a bunch of appointments come January pedi, wax, hair, eyelashes, etc. but that's all last min stuff. A DW is definitely a lot less stressful and less work than a local wedding! It's kind of nice :)

You're so set!  I love it!!!  I'm  sitting here after midnight printing tags for our pashmina's at the wedding reception now.  Almost done and that didn't even make the list! lol

Did you find a good vendor for your catamaran?  We found one in Mexico as a referral from another bride but I did see another forum for a Cuba one as well.

Yeah I guess we are all set! I was forgetting something - bridesmaids gifts! I need to decide what I'm getting, and pick them up. That might wait until January. I had my final dress fitting today and my dress is perfect!! (almost) the cups need to be adjusted, I have zero clevage :( so I need to figure out how to give myself a boost. But it's all done and perfect and I love it!! I didn't want to take it off. My Jr. bridesmaid had her fitting too and her dress is good to go, AND my fiance went shopping Friday night and got the groomsmens outfits! I didn't even have to nag again! LOL

We don't know yet what we're doing for the catamaran, I emailed our WC to see if she can answer my questions or suggest a company to book with. I will check out the forum on here and see what they say, thanks so much! I didn't even think about that.

Hey ladies!
Something unique and sensational for the wedding is definitely the trash the dress!
For those brides who want something spectacular, can not pass up the opportunity to do this kind of session in a cenote in Riviera Maya!
But do not worry! It can be done with another dress!  :)
What do you think?

Hi Ladies,

I have finally figured out how to get back on here.  I concur with everyone's anxiety and feeling like there is not enough time in the day to complete everything.  I have about 31 days until my big day.  And I have to admit I have ordered and received all the décor I am taking with me (and packed it as well); I have had my dress fitting and alterations done (I will pick my dress up on Saturday); I am waiting for my bouquet to be delivered and my jr. groomsmen suit is being altered.  All in all I think I am looking pretty good, except for the music (which I left to my groom so I have to get on him about that).  Although, I think things are going well I still am a ball of nerves afraid I will forget something or just plain worried that things will turn out the way I envisioned them.  All of you are in my thoughts as you complete your journey's to walking down the aisle next month (WOW, can you believe it, NEXT MONTH!...how time flies).  Good Luck everyone and please post, post wedding updates...talk to you all soon...oh and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

EEEEE yes so close now!!!! With Christmas and wedding, there are definitely not enough hours in the day!! I have my wedding dress now, it's amazing and perfect and I am so in love with it!!! I want to wear it all the time. My FI finally took his groomsmen shopping so we can cross their outfits off the list. Things are coming together! 1 month until we are on the plane!! Can't freaking wait!! :)

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Hi Ladies

Im getting married Jan 4 2014 couple weeks , on playa de carmen , any one can recomend a good DJ ?

Hi Solymare21

Are you on a resort?  If so, perhaps they have a DJ they work with?  We just chose our on-site DJ because we met him when we went for our bridal walkthrough and heard a few of his parties that sounded good.

YES I am getting so excited! I can't imagine what I'm going to be like come January, I'll be a mess I'm sure, jittery, not sleeping, like a little kid Christmas Eve LOL. We should probably get our excursions taken care of, we want to go to Havana and also take out a catamaran for an evening. Need to get the FH on that stat! That's his job.

What excursions are you doing?

We're going to do a catamaran for our guests as well. That's the only one that we'll fit the bill for for the guests.  The other ones we'll plan later since we're not sure where we want to go yet.  I made it FI's job but I ended up messaging so much on this forum that there were some great people to help with suggestions.  Maybe you'll find some great catamaran operators in Cuba as well based on other bride suggestions.

I'll be bringing most of our décor but am hoping to give our guests a little gift from Mexico as our wedding favors.  I'll message MrsHK to see if I can enlist her expertise though, she's been such a great help.

SO Exciting your wedding is SO soon!!   I'm looking for a catamaran company for private trips, what company are you using?? Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
