Chicago Bridal shops

Recommended Posts

Can any chicago brides recommend bridal shops in the area?

As some may know, I am in Chicago for work for the next 5 or 6 weeks so I need to do my dress shopping while I am here.

I went to david's bridal this weekend and found 1 possibility, but I feel like I should see some more. I didn't have a "wow" moment with the dress but it fit almost perfectly off the rack. I would be totally happy with that dress but I need to quiet the nagging little voice in my head that it shouldn't be that easy, I shouldn't like the FIRST dress I try on. haha.

Hi.. Welcome to the windy.. and strangley warm Chi-town!!

I'd highly reccommend Volle's in Lake Zurich.. great place..

I live in the city and still decided to go there to buy. Me, my sister, and a number of our friends bought our wedding gowns there and they have a great selection of varying price ranges and designers. Plus they're not pushy!! Nothing but great experiences on my end.

Francia in Hinsdale 630.325.4100 is where I bought mine. Francia Bridal

YOu can also schedule an appointment at macy's or one of the other department stores.

There is a place that is pretty expensive (for me), but if you can afford it, there are beautiful dresses. Vegas to Venice Untitled Document

I actually found my dress at Macy's. The sales assistant there was fantastic! All I told her was the location of my wedding and that I wanted something light. I tried on about 7 dresses and all of them were exactly what I was looking for. It was a great experience. I also went to Nicole Miller on Wells. They have great stuff for destination weddings, and the prices are much lower. I also had an appointment at White Chicago which I have heard great things about. I ended up cancelling because I knew I wanted one of the dresses from Macy's. Hope this helps!Click the image to open in full size.

I have heard good things about White Chicago as well, but haven't made an appointment (maybe if Volle's doesn't work out). I will check out Nicole Miller. I didn't realize there was a store here and I like some of those dresses. I was worried Macy's was above my price range. what were the prices like?

White Chicago sells "once wed" or sample dresses, and their inventory changes pretty often. the girl there, Ursula (sp?) i think, was very nice. i didn't find anything there that worked for me, but i was hoping i did ... i didn't mind having a dress that was worn before if i could save some $$

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
