Hi pitchie04,

Its best to find a Travel agent to work with. They have direct contact with Iberostar. Try Apple Vactions or Dreamers Travel.

Hi Ashleyhozey!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! My wedding is April 17th at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo! You won't hear from the wedding coordinator until about 4 months before your wedding. My fiancé and I decided to use a Travel Agency to assist our guests with booking rooms, questions, etc. Our Travel Agency is Dreamers Travel. They had direct contact with the wedding coordinators so I was able to access them with any questions I had about my wedding well in advance. We have picked our flowers, decorations, Dj, and photographer. We are now just getting into planning out all the final details! :)

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hi ladies, I am new to this site. I have read many posts and found them very helpful.... Thank you. We haven't decided whether we want to get married at Iberostar Lindo or the Maya. We have stayed at the Lindo before and it was absolutely beautiful. I am just confused on the reception, if we choose one of the restaurants it's "semi-private" but if we want a "private" reception you have to have a min of 50 people?!?! Doesn't really make sense to me. Also, does anyone know where the cocktail hour is held? ...thanks in advance

I think the cocktail hour location will depend on where you are having the ceremony. My ceremony is going to be on the beach and the cocktail hour will be held on the beach as well.

Hello! My wedding is booked at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo on April 12, 2014. We have been dealing with Paola over the past few months, she has been extremely helpful, although sometimes it takes her a while to get back to me, but she answers all my crazy questions :) I don't believe the WC contacts you until 3 months prior to the wedding, so I am hoping to hear from them soon! We are using adventure photos (the resorts onsite photographer) and all we know at this point is we are having a beach ceremony. Besides that, I don't know much. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!! My wedding is on April 17th at the Paraiso Lindo!! My family and I are arriving on the 12th :) We have been working with Yuritzi, she has been really helpful. We are having and beach ceremony as well. Still waiting to plan out all the final details!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi ladies!! Headed down for a site visit next month to decide where I want to book. I've stayed at the Lindo twice before and loved it but Iberostar may be off my "to visit" list as Deisy told me the only places they offer for ceremonies is the beach or Plaza across the street for 50 people. I had hoped for more than those 2 options...does anyone know if there are other ceremony sites that have been used?

The Lindo also offers a site they call the Kiosk, it looks very similar to a Gazebo that can hold 300 guests. As well as the Chapel (catholic ceremonies only) that can hold 180 guests.

I don't know why it's so difficult for the wedding planners to communicate this haha... do you know where the Kiosk is located?

Congrats to everyone!  I am pretty new to this site and we are getting married at the Lindo on the Beach on July 11th.  We are looking to choose our photographer and DJ and we are trying to see who people have gone with and what kind of budget to expect.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Congrats to you as well! We went with DJ Doremix they were $1235 for 4 hrs. I actually discovered them on this site. There were quite a few brides who recommended them and said they were so much fun! They also have this amazing light up dance floor, it's a little pricey but I've heard its definitely worth it. For photos we went with Adventure Photos they came with our package and we just upgraded what they were offering us. The photo package that came with our wedding package was 60 photos. We upgraded to full day coverage for $1,000.

We have the Dream package, is that the same package?  Yuritzi with Iberostar had told us about DJ Doremix, I think that is who we are going with as well!

Thank you again!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
