Iberostar Paraíso Maya & Lindo Brides 2014!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm helping someone plan a wedding for May 2015 at Paradiso Maya.

I got married at Moon Palace and they way the resorts are with weddings are a lot different...do you have to purchase packages to have a ceremony and reception or do they have a complimentary package and you can just pay for "add ons?"  Are their group benefits/perks for booking x number of rooms?

Anyone have any information they can share I would greatly appreciate it! :) thanks!

From my research and contact with Iberostar, they don't have any complimentary wedding packages. I think if you choose not to go with their package, you have to pay for everything individually which can be mighty expensive. I tried asking them about group rates twice but each time they told me to speak with a travel agent.  They don't seem to discount much of anything at this chain of resorts, regardless of how much business you are bringing in.

I have noticed that they seem to run kids stay free specials from time to time but it's usually during the early part of the year, for travel throughout the same year.

Thank you @

That is what I was gathering but I was hoping that a recent bride or soon to be bride would have insight proving me wrong! :)

They are looking into May 8-15 2015 so hopefully they run a special for then!

I am heading down to Riviera Maya next Thursday for my wedding @ Iberostar Grand Paraiso, The Adults Only Hotel. I too went through a Travel Agent to get rates but I preferred it that way so that it would be easy for my guests to contact one specific person to book all of their travel through. Some other hotels that we looked at did give us rates directly through them but then every guest would have to book their travel on their own and we didn't want that. At the Grand there wasn't a complimentary package, they had 3 packages available but we knew we would be spending more for extras anyhow so we chose the Dream Package and still went over what was offered. I noticed in some of the complimentary packages at other hotels, it didn't offer much or for enough people that would have accommodated the amount of guests we were having so we would have spent money with the free package as well.  Good luck deciding. Can't wait to get down there!

Awww good luck!! Please take lots of pics and share when you return @@Lindsay30!

I know she does not want to have her wedding at the Grand Paraiso as they will be bringing their then 7 month old baby with them and there will also be other children attending the wedding.

Enjoy every second of it because it flies by!!! :)

My brother got married at Iberostar Tucan 7 years ago and we have stayed at both the Tucan and Paraiso Lindo. We were between both of the resorts for our own wedding and I do have wedding package information and pictures for both. I have been working with a travel agent through Beach Bum Vacations and she was able to get me group rates that fit the budget we wanted for our guests. After weighing pros and cons and what would be best for our group we just booked Tucan for 7-10-15! My favorite thing about Iberostar resorts is that there is only one wedding a day which was important to me. One thing to remember about the Paraiso resorts is that there is a ranking per say of resorts. For example when we stayed there we were at Lindo which means we could also access Beach and Del Mar but not Maya and Grand. If anyone needs more info let me know!

Hi everyone! I'm planning to get married at Iberostar Grand in May 2015 and I'm having trouble figuring out where my guests can stay. Ultimately we'd like most people to stay at the grand, however we know some of our guests will be bringing kids and will need to stay at The Maya or Lindo. Does anyone know how strict Iberostar is with their rule that 80% of your wedding guests need to stay at the hotel where the wedding is? Right now, it looks like well have more like 60-70 percent at the grand. I'm very worried later down the road this is going to be a big problem so any guidance or insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
