Have you thought about doing a site visit to check out the resort for yourself?

Azul Sensatori has a great program called Karisma Bride's Dress Rehearsal (link has more info) where you can go and stay at the resort for 3 nights for $399, taste the food, see the wedding locations, meet vendors, etc.

We are Wright Travel Agency Karisma GI Wedding Consultants so we are very familiar with the resort and will be there in June.

Hi Katie! What part of england are you from? I'm from the US but am currently living in England with my fiancé! We are also planning for a 2014 wedding. (May 5) to be exact! We just picked a resort and put a deposit down at dreams riviera cancun. We were down in Mexico for a friends wedding a couple years ago at dreams tulum and it was amazing! Our choice was based on the location being a little closer to the airport (Tulum was quite far) :)

welcome to BDW Katie!!

I think of reviews as information - everyone is different and unique, and one person's experience is likely to be vastly different from others. When I read a negative review, I ask "is this a deal killer?" and "would this ruin everything"? in general, the answer is no. and then I use that as information to be prepared - "what would I do if that same situation happened to me?".

I highly agree with Tammy - consider checking out AS for yourself, and forming your own opinions. Their dress rehearsal is a great deal!

Welcome to the forum Ketie,

As a wedding planner here in the Riviera Maya, are advising you, to try to visit the resort first before reserving it. see if you would like it better in person, most importantly picture yourself getting married there.

I full Agree with Tammy and AllieH.

Happy planning ladies

Joyce

  • 3 weeks later...

I have seen on here that AS is quite expensive, but I do not know....I would definately go to their website and look into the dress rehearsal if you can,

If not I would follow AllieH advise and read the reviews with caution. Some people you can't please no matter what and they are the ones who voice their opinions about everything, lol.

Good luck and Congrats!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
