Any Playacar Palace Brides 2014?

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies!

I'm so excited to find this thread :) My FI & I are getting married at PP 5/2/14 w a 6pm ceremony on the beach. I've been tracking the weather there every day and I just can't wait! We booked though destinationweddings.com and have had a pretty good experience so far. I would recommend shopping around for room block rates as we found some more competitive pricing that our coordinator was able to match. We've sent out our saves the dates already and are planning on sending our invitations in Oct/Nov w RSVPs due in Feb (that's when our room block is due in full).

We stayed at Sun Palace a few years back for vacation and had an amazing time. We saw a wedding on the beach there and it just felt right for us to do the same when our time came :) The service and the experience we had really made staying with Palace Resorts an obvious choice, so I'm sure you all with have the most amazing weddings!

Congratulations! I look forward to hearing about your plans!

Hi dwbride2014, isn't it exciting??

I got to a point where I feel I don't have much to do until my May trip for the site visit, I just want that to happen so I can keep going with the planing.

I just booked my destination wedding at Playacar Palace for June 28, 2014 @ 4 pm!! I am very excited! I am working with Teresa as my TA who is helping me tremendously with the group block. If you need some good information I read back through the 2010 & 2011 Playacar Palace Bride thread and those ladies have lots of information to share. Now my main concern is an affordable photographer from Playa Del Carmen and my save the dates.

I am with you! I went bm dress shopping just to get ideas and pricing and the lady looked at me like I had 3 heads! (On the bright side, i was told all the new bridal fashion is released in August/Sept so something to keep in mind for more waiting!) Please keep me posted on how your site visit goes. I wish I could go!

Congrast Theresad, I went on that forum and it is great. I am also working with Teresa but waiting on the visit to start working on the group block.

I love DIY so I am thinking and thinking on ideas for my STD which I want to send out by mid, July.

Haha Dwbride... I am actually going to the Pronovias fashion show here in NYC next week, I got an email/invite from The Knot, I have no idea what I want (dress) so it will be nice to get some cocktails and see some dresses.

Until before being engaged I was sure of the type of dress I want, but now that I am engaged and we are planning a DW, I am lost!

Right now I am keeping myself entertained planning the engagement party and with all the DIY. The other day I went to Trader's Joe, they have great affordable flowers so I want to see how long they would last and how long would take them to fully open, so my house looked like a flower shop, little flower arrangements all over. So much fun!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
