I'm very green to this and I need all the help I can. We are planning our Destination wedding in 2014, we are living in Vancouver. Love to know if anyone has any good or bad experience with hiring a Vancouver Photographer and videographer to Cancun. How is the price packages, do they charge by day or hourly rate? Thank you everyone from Canada, Vancouver.

Hi Maggie!

Just wanted to let you know about Dean Sanderson (http://www.deansandersonweddings.com/; http://www.facebook.com/DeanSandersonWeddings?ref=ts&fref=ts).  He's actually a Canadian photographer who used to be based out of Vancouver, but who recently moved down to the Mayan Riviera.  He just photographed our wedding, and he's great to work with.  Check him out because you'd save money in not having to pay someone's travel fees!

Good luck with planning! :)

Hello TKuzma,

Thanks for the tips as I will check his work and do you know any good videographers? Just wonder if you can post some of your candid or best photo to share. Do you have a lot of great photos or just few good one? I have a friend got marry and I went through their photos and there are only few that stands out! I didn't want to tell her that!

Thanks

Hi again Maggie,

I don't know anything about videographers because we never looked into one for our wedding.

I think I will have a pretty nice collection of photos- I've seen them all and I'm quite happy!  Unfortunately, I don't have the actual files of my favourites to share with you yet.  I posted some of the teasers throughout my wedding planning journal I just posted- http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/85214/tkuzmas-mayan-riviera-wedding-planning-journal-february-7-2013

Let me know if you have any more questions :)

Hello Tkuzma,

Thank you for posting all the tips; it is a scary when your BM didn't get her dress on time. I will do my shopping in town if there is any issue I can contact them asap. Wow the Flight center sounds so Professional as this is something I will need to more research. Just wonder if you have any issue with shuttle ride to the resort when you arrive. My friends on a recent trip did not have the shuttle ride to the resort when she arrived at Cancun airport. It was a BIG confusion and stressful for her! I also came across a blog wrote about the same issue from a Vancouver Destination Photographer & Videographer. Did you have FREE Internet services from your resort? Sorry for all those question as so much to learn and thank god the wedding is not this year!

Thank you so much

Hello is tkuzma,

Weird the post did go through....:) I wonder do you have any issue with the shuttle ride from the airport as my friends had issue getting Free shutter ride back and fore from Cancun airport. Your resort looks great, do they have FREE Internet services as I like to check my email from work. What is the best place online that is good for booking, I was told I should cross the border and take a flight to Mexico as it is lot cheaper, do you have experience doing this.

While searching for wedding photographer and videographer in Vancouver I came across an article 'Destination wedding Tips' can you relate to the articles. http://bit.ly/YVOnrw

Thanks and there are so much to read and glad my wedding is not this year!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
