I left bookings open for 1 YEAR! hahaha and people are slowly coming up to me now that they want to book with me. Be patient, it takes time! We also made a website where we update it every so often so people can get updated on what we are up to and the plans for the wedding and flight dates and pricing etc.

Hi Kaed!!

Finally I can say the same, I have about 35 people confirmed so things are looking up. I might be getting my dress next week!!!!!! So excited!!

Hi all!!!

Now I'm starting to move on to my my phase 2 planning.... picking flowers, cake, chairs and all of that good stuff (all the option that the resort gives to you at least).

However, I have a few questions and hope you guys can help me out......

Does anyone know of how good their DJ is, as well as the photographers????

I can NOT imagine playing music out of a CD PLAYER on the day of my wedding, so i'm really concerned about the whole music thing. I want to be able to party and dance on that day, so music is essential to me.

Not sure if I should look for an outside photographer or if the resort ones are good enough, if anyone has any tips, advice or has had some experience with their photographer please help!!

Thanks!!

Hi

I was wondering how you were able to book your wedding for May 1st?

I tried to book that date as well, and was told that May 1st is a holiday and that no weddings were to be booked on that day?

Did they mention that to you at all?

We have now booked for April 30th 2014 at the Riviera Gazebo.

Happy Planning!

Hi Guys! Congrats to everyone getting married soon! I am in the process of securing an early June 2014 date and I'm so excited! Who is everyone choosing for photographers and what are their prices like? Also..to book your date do you just fill out the registration form and sign and scan it back to her and that's it? I am a little confused on what info she needs (how did everyone know the menus for the restaurants?) It asks you to choose restaurant and menus and I have no idea about their restaurants or menus! Also, if you say you have 40 people now, can you increase that number later? Thank you for your help and sorry for all the questions!

Hi, They had no issues booking me in for May 1, 2014, 4:00pm at the Sunset Gazebo. I have multiple confirmations from them (as does my Travel Agent, who even called to re-verify over the phone on top of the emails), and have even booked most of my additional items now, restaurant, DJ, beach reception... so I find that really odd... but it wouldn't be the first odd thing that has come from them as I have from read various other peoples posts on some of the other boards. Cheers, Amanda

Hi I have heard & read from multiple people that their photographer is really good, however I have heard & read mixed things about the DJ. Apparently if you have an MC who can assist the DJ, or help direct them towards the types of music your group likes then it generally works out a lot better. We are definitely going with their DJ for our beach reception afterwards. Cheers!

Hi brides to be!!!! I am getting married at GSP on May 3,2014 and I'm sooo excited. Just a few questions, does anyone know about having an outside photo booth at your wedding and if so what's the extra costs. We are choosing the private beach party for $85 a person but can't decide if we should purchase the dance floor, seems quite expensive. What are your thoughts?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
