Grand Sunset Princess 2014 Bride!!!!

Recommended Posts

Finally, I can actually start a thread that isn't about finding and choosing my wedding resort. I have made a my decision, and GSP it is!!!!

I have reserve my wedding date, and even set up a wedding website. Where i created an invitation/safe the date kind of deal. If any of you are interested in creating something along the same line. I suggest you check out www.wedsite.com.

It's ending of February, and I have more then a year to plan everything else. However, now that i'm through the resort pick, the wedding date reservations, and wedding date request..... What do I do now????? LOL

I have so much time, but do you have any suggestions on things I should be working on now????

I don't have a wedding dress, but i don't want to purchase it in so much advance, cause what if I see a better dress after and i change my mind. I don't want that!

Decorations.... is it too early to think about????

I hope I find  more GSP 2014 birdies, and we can talk about all of this together.

Hi Kaed!!

Nice to meet you! Yes I have already been in contact with the wedding coordinator at GSP. EVerything is booked for May 9th, 2014 under the SunsetPrincess Gazebo and private deck dinner reserved as well.

My only issue now are the guest :(

I have already coordinated the travel package and everything, I have made it so easy for them to pay their deposits and what not. Yet I have struggled to get even 7 people ONLY to book so far.

It's a little disappointing, and I can help to think that maybe most of my guest won't go including some really close friends :/

Mehhh, what are you gonna do right.

Hi there I was just wondering when you booked your wedding date there to get married did the resort or wedding planner ask for a deposit with a photocopy of a credit card ? I'm getting married at grand sunset princess march 2014 and they just asked me for that but I feel it may be a little sketchy .. Advice ?

Hi :) I am getting married May 1st, 2014 at the Sunset Gazebo...stil finalizing dinner plans and such!!!

They asked me for the same thing in regards to my credit card, or there is a wire transfer option as well... the deposit was $200 which I was fine with paying. Make sure to save all your emails from them and print them out and bring them along with you!cheesy.gif

Hello!! Yes they did ask me for that, and I thought it to be weird as well. However, after i did i kept a real close tap on my credit card activity and all was good. It's been 3 months that i did that, and still everything has been legit and save!

oh and yes!!... I completely agree with keeping a copy of all your emails and bringing it down on the day of your wedding.

Cheers!!!

Hey,

I have had the same issue as well, but now we have confirmed atleast 23 people through my travel agency in Flight Center and the other 20 people are either coming from out of town or are finding their own deals with another travel agency. I left bookings open for 1 YEAR! hahaha and people are slowly coming up to me now that they want to book with me. Be patient, it takes time! We also made a website where we update it every so often so people can get updated on what we are up to and the plans for the wedding and flight dates and pricing etc.

Hi ladies!

I am ALSO getting married at the GSP! Hoping to secure May 4th 2014. I have not got in to the booking process yet, will be tonight now that we have pricing.

Is anyone getting a photographer not provided by the hotel? I'm really worried about having a great photographer because the photo's mean so much to me.

Cheers :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
