@@duchovny0901 What decor do you plan to take? If you don't mind my asking.

@@EmilyR Hey and congrats on getting married! This site has helped a great deal for me deciding on Now and im less than 6 months out now! I looked around for travel agents too and went with Wright Travel Agency from this site. They've handled everything so far; booking flights and resort rooms for my guests, negotiating room prices and getting us promos. Also they provide transport to and from the airport for all guests. They also keep me updated with how many people have booked and if I need to secure more. They just required $100 per room and for oir promo I had to secure a minimum 6 rooms. Thats it!I secured 20 initially with our estimate but more people have booked and the agency took it upon themselves to contact the resort and get more, while making sure we received the samegroup rate! Im so glad that I decided to go with them because this is so much less stress! Check out their reviews on this site, and good luck!

Thanks for this info!!

@@MrandMrsBonitto2016 No problem! I am planning to take our chair sashes, sand ceremony items and our DIY centerpieces, so basically all the décor. LOL. We're also gonna bring our OOT bags and goodies, along with our bridal party gifts.

This may sound like a silly question, but i'm gonna ask. LOL.....What is an OOT bag?

One more question. Are they charging you for bringing your own decor?

@@MrandMrsBonitto2016 OOT is "Out Of Town". Don't worry it took me a second to figure that out too!

And tthey do charge $1 per sash to set up, which is ok for me because I ended up purchasing them for $.50 a piece and can hopefully give them to someone else. Centerpieces are charged $30 per table to setup. i believe that the minimum cost for a basic centerpiece rental is $80, and the pics I saw of what they had for that price was not flying with me. Lol. We wanted to make our own to go with our theme (beachy) and save some cash. Plus someone else can use these items too!

Thank you so much for answering my questions:) I just want to be ahead of the game. LOL......actually one more question. I think I read you are using a travel agent, did you find it helpful?

Hello ladies!

I'm new to the site and just wanted to say hello! I love reading all the posts. I know this is for 2014 weddings but I have mine booked at the Now Larimar for January 15, 2015! I can't wait. I am starting to get overwhelmed with the planning process. I did receive an email from my wedding coordinator Luisa with some basic information but I have sooooo many other questions!! Can any of you give me any advice? Right now I'm concerned about flower arrangements and decorations? We plan on bringing ALOT of decorations down to DO. My wedding coordinator said they charge a 25% set up fee for all decorations??? 25% of what....my wedding package?

If any of you could tell me what you've experienced so far with the planning process that would be great!! :D

Thank you so much,

Michelle

@@MrandMrsBonitto2016 You're totally welcome. Just paying it forward because this site has made me so relaxed while planning mine! I am using Wright Travel Agency and our agents are so friggin helpful! They book the resort and airfare for my guests so I can avoid the same questions and phone calls over and over. They've saved me a ton of time so I can focus on other stuff, and they keep me updated with my guest count.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
