Now Larimar 2014 Brides

Recommended Posts

We got confirmation last week but I didn't include locations on that page cause we weren't sure. I emailed a request for the eclipse terrace and pool side reception today so we will see, I've been waiting almost a week now to hear if they can find more preferred rooms for our reservation so we will see.

Hi all!! I just returned last week from my destination wedding at Now Larimar. The location and size of resort was perfect for our 40 guests. Parents, relatives, and family friends stayed on the Now side and our friends stayed at Secrets. It was easy to find people in our group and not a hike between the two. However, Now recently added another "wing" to it's resort and this is not on the beach or in close walking distance to the main two locations. Keep an eye on this at check in. Service and entertainment at both resorts is outstanding, especially the butler Steves. Employees made a genuine effort to know our group and take care of us. Silvia Luna was our coordinator and she did a great job. We brought a ton of decorations with us to save money and her team worked their magic with pulling it all together. Flower bouquets were stunning and the spa was outstanding with hair and makeup for my bridesmaids and me. We planned a rehearsal dinner at Capers which worked out well the night before. You have to ask the wedding coordinator to arrange this and can only include 25 people max. Ceremony was at the Now Larimar fountain and reception on the beach in front of castaways. I felt that the resort kept both locations private enough for our event and couldn't be happier with the setup and decoration. For dinner, we went with steak and lobster from the platinum menu, which was excellent. Only issue I heard was that the beach was too dark at dinner to see the plate. The best part of the entire wedding was having Katya Nova as our photographer. She is a very special person with a lovely talent and I'm fortunate to have crossed paths with her. She made our wedding magical and I love her so much!!! Lastly, be very cautious of the outside vendors that the resort works with as part of the wedding packages i.e. DJ, MC, photography/ videography. You must communicate rather directly to get what's expected or else you will be disappointed. All of our guests commented it was the best vacation they have been on and most beautiful wedding!! It was an amazing experience!! Happy to answer any more questions you have!! Lindsay

Congrats on getting your rooms! We nights have some guests stay on the Secrets side because they want the adults only. So far, my fiancé and I are the only ones staying two weeks. We also got Silvia as a wedding coordinator. Hopefully communication is easy! I think they're pretty busy. Let me know how it goes.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
