well, when she says that you can tell her that it is a review from a bride that got married and who you have been communicating with almost daily for 6 months now...

Hi Cindy,

There are many Wedding Companies and Coordinators here in Cabo, some are better than others. Brides will have an opinion deppending on how their wedding came out, so I think you should probably ask for reference, contact the wedding company or coordinator you are intrested in and make your own desition on which one would probably work out the best for you, according to your expectations and the kind of wedding you have on mind.

In case you are planning on getting married at a resort, you could ask, some of them have their own coordinators.

i was in touch with WIP and Bella Brides originally but ended up not using either and working with Maye Cortinas (www. mayecortinas.com) for a few reasons:

1. Their prices were 3 times the amount (this was the big one)

2. Their services included less items (i.e. WIP said they would not handle any food or drinks. If I was to bring or source out stuff on my own they would not be responsible for it).

At first I actually started to panic after going from WIp to bella Brides and realizing that they're both SO expensive. I was about to change locations when I found this foruma nd got in touch with Maye. Her rates are very reasonable. However if you are getting married at a resort with a good coordinator I think you'll find there's no reason to hire someone from the outside... especially if you do the legal paperwork here in the states.

Whatever you decide good luck!

Hi Cindy - Welcome! - All of the suggestions here so far are great! I attended Janet's wedding last night at Cabo Surf Hotel and it was PERFECT!

She was a gorgeous, 'model bride'. Her coordinator did such a wonderful job, as I am sure she will write about here and reccommend... Anyway just to give you a heads-up, her coordinators name is Lisa Galvin - sorry I do not have her link but I am sure Janet will post it...

Happy planning.

Marci

Aww thanks Marci! Yes, like you said I used Lisa Galvan of Fiestas Los Cabos for day-of coordination only (I did all the planning, Lisa did all the hard work :) ) and Lisa was A++++++++++++++++++++. Seriously perfect.

I would not have been able to afford her for full wedding planning though.

She works with Tara Null and some other planners (Amy, Kelly, ?) and can be found at fiestasloscabos@hotmail.com or http://fiestasloscabos.com/

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
