Dreams Palm Beach Brides 2014

Recommended Posts

Hello DPB Brides!!

I finally picked my resort (Dreams Palm Beach) and couldn't be more excited!  I know its over a year away, but the time is going to go by so quickly!  I thought I would start a thread for brides getting married at DPB in 2014 so we can share everything in one spot!  Anyone else out there planning their wedding in 2014 yet?

Can't wait to hear about everyone's big day!

Hi Everyone- we are booked for January 16th, 2014!! Still have not planned much yet we know we are doing the pool area for the reception and not 100% sure about the ceremony yet. Has anyone got pricing for the decorations or centrepieces at all yet?

I have the date and locations confirmed (Gazebo Ceremony & Pool Reception) but don't have any other details!  I haven't even seen the price lists for decorations yet.  I also really want to get a cigar roller for the reception, but am not sure if it's even a possibility at this resort.  Response time has been a little slow from the wedding coordinator, but I've been told by my travel agent that this is normal, so I haven't worried yet.  I still have an entire year to plan!

I agree the repsonse has been a little slower now that we paid the deposits but I agree wiyh weddings this far out they more than likely are prioritizing:) we will make to the front soon enough!! We are also doing the pool for the reception!! Does anyone know what the ligting is like there? Or is this something we have to add with candles and the table lights?

Hello!

I am also planning on attending DPB in 2014 for our wedding! We are super excited.  However we have not put a deposit down..... Still working with the TA and trying to get everything in one price for our guest (since they are coming for a few different areas)  Just curious how much was the deposit and who did you get in contact with at the resort? Did you email someone in particular or call?

Hi Nicole, You can just email the contacts on the web site they have been great at responding to me the longest wait was three days but that was for a lot of questions. Keep in mind how many weddings these planners are dealing with:) The deposit I believe depends on your package and you have to pay for the pool rental area if you are wanting that location. The highest it would be I believe is $500 to save everything... Just basic package on no pool was only $100.00 Hope that helps!

Congrats on the wedding:) For deposits I just sent an email they replied in less than 24hours and have been great to deal with so far... I have read some people were having issues so I can only speak for my experiences so far.

If you are looking for more informaition the 2013 has alot more action than this one... guess some of us are just eager planners lol

Anyone pick out the wedding dresses yet for the special day?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
