I am also planning on having my wedding at DPB in October of 2014. Are you all booking your guest flights and hotels at the same time? Flights aren't available for my date yet and I am just sending out Save the Dates. I also don't know if I should bring my own decorations to save some money or use what they have. As far as centerpieces go I am not to worried but I don't want it to look bare. We are having around 30 people there.

Hi Everyone! I am getting married here 2/15/14... We are inviting 200 people but expecting anywhere from 50-80. I think waiting on a head count is half the stress. I have decided since we have so many people coming that we would skip the traditional rehearsal dinner and do a bonfire on the beach instead. This way people can eat wherever (it will be Valentine's day) and we can meet up for a few cocktails on the beach.... Does anyone else have a bonfire scheduled? I was curios how they set it up?

Hi whitekatie23 I am also getting married at DPB but not until another year. Did they allow you to do a bonfire on the beach? How was your wedding by the way! Congrats! I know it was amazing!

hello, did you get a price?  Just wondering if its worth taking my own extra decor.  Some on the list do seem a bit pricey! undecided.gif

I was quoted 150$ set up fee for my sashes, table runners, napkins, table numbers, a few votives and a frame. For 5-6 tables

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
