Hello! I recently got engaged and don't plan on getting married for 2 years. But I can't stop thinking about planning !! I am torn between the beautiful mountains at lake Louise, VS the beautiful beAch in cabo!!! Lol! I also have a very strict budget I do not want to spend more than 10000 with about 25-30 people. Possible? Where is cheaper ? Oh and we have children who will be attending, so family friendly !!! Thanks :):):)

Hi there!

There are a lot of factors to consider when deciding which will be more affordable. Where do you and most of your guests live? What time of year are you thinking? All inclusive or not? I do think $10,000 for 25-30 is doable, especially in Mexico, but if you lock in the other details you'll have a better idea of overall budget! Happy planning either way. :)

Congratulations!! I'm going to be honest, I don't know if it is possible to get married in Lake Louise for $10,000. The venue costs alone are outrageous! My advice is to research, research, research!!! Good luck and happy planning!!

Im planning my wedding right now and have had a strict budget but Riviera in Mexico is expensive BUT can be done, but i would say you should adults budgets to 1500. As in my case its 200 more a person but out of 91 invites i have 14 and more hopefully to come. Then you need to know that hotel might charge extra per person for the wedding. Example our Renewal ceremony includes 20 people (including bride and groom) then its 30 per person staying at the resort and 80 or 90 for ones not staying at the resort.

I wish you all the luck and will follow you on your journey!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
