Hello All,

I really need some advice. How did you all decide on a resort and just stuck with it? I have confirmed Moon Palace, but I cannot help wondering if I should pick something different. Everyday I am online trying to look at other resorts and really second guessing myself. I have gotten to the point where I had to go to the doctor because I am making myself sick. This is such an important time of my life, and I really just want to ensure that it will definitely be the wedding of my dreams.

Don't worry, I'm on the same boat. If you haven't already. Look into the Dreams Chain of resorts. They are beautiful. I'm actually confirmed with Dreams Cancun, but second guessing myself too at times. I guess it really doesn't matter where you get married. At the end of it all, you'll be married, which is the important thing. Your wedding is what you make it. rain or shine, inclusive or all-inclusive, beach or gazebo, pink or blue..whatever really.
I think if your optimistic about your choices, everyone in your wedding will be too. I know it's hard, but trust me stick with something & get moving. I think once you start seeing everything come together, you'll be delighted with your pick. Remember, Plan Happily.

First and foremost...this is nothing to make yourself sick about!

As women we're raised dreaming and planning our Big Day almost from birth. Thats a lot of pressure and expectations. But the bottom line is this. You are marrying your best friend, and at the end of the day, theres not too much that can change that. You're getting married amongst the most beautiful surroundings on earth doing it in the Riviera Maya. The building standing behind you isn't the most important thing.

Think of all the reasons why you chose Moon Palace. And don't look at anything else, unless something comes up that makes you SERIOUSLY think something wouldn't be right there.

Everyone says HAPPY planning...and thats just what we should all be doing. Enjoying this time, because its the first last and only time most of us can say "We're planning our destination wedding." Don't sweat the small stuff, and beyond marrying your fiance` EVERYthing is small stuff.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!! Everything that was said really makes sense. The most important thing is that we are getting married and not so much of the 'little' things. I guess I keep forgetting the reason why I am going to Moon Palace. Not for a vacation, but to marry my best friend.

I second guessed my decision many times! I think most of my decisions I have second guessed many times, location, date, dress, colors, etc.... especially being on this forum you see so many great ideas and dresses and locations from others that you always wonder if something else might have been better.

But I don't think I've heard from anyone thats already been married that they regretted any of their decisions, so try not to stress yourself out, your wedding will be beautiful.

there was a member that was married there earlier this year, her name is Lenita, I can't remember her username, but she and her guests loved moon palace, she had a beautiful wedding and a great time.

It's easy to get wrapped up in the stress of planning a wedding. I've second guessed my location.. heck, I STILL second guess my choice, but in the end you just need to look at why you selected Moon Palace to begin with. Every place has it's pro's and con's. I still come across places on this forum that look so amazing I think, "hmm... Jamaica looks like a nice place!" lol, but then I snap back into reality and fall in love with my location all over again. And you've got it right, the important thing here is that you're marrying the love of your life; that's it.

It's normal to second guess because there are so many places that would be wonderful. I think you have to make a decision & just go with it. Same for all wedding stuff. Narrow it down to a few choices & pick from those. Then don't look back! I find it helps to ask the forum when I'm stuck between a few options. Most often they pick the option that was my favorite in the first place.

Just to follow up on what I said earlier, I gotta tell you I did this just last night. I have no idea why, but i went to the "accomodations" page here and literally pulled up each and every resort in the threads and took a look at their wedding stuff. I spent about an hour doing it, then went back over my choices site, photos and info. I still saw the reasons why I picked it, and the pros out numbered the cons. There IS a reason why we pick what we do...its a big decision and deep inside, your head knows it and doesn't choose lightly.

Focus on Moon Palace...if you see somethingthat strikes you as something you just dont want to deal with, then fine. But otherwise, I think you'll find that you made the right decision for yourself. Just relax and enjoy this time.

I feel exactly the same way. First we were set on Dreams Cancun, then for whatever reason I started looking elsewhere, Playa Fiesta and other small hotels, then Las Caletas - I wish I just had the nerve to just book Dreams (my initial pick) and move on. My fiance thinks I am making myself sick with the stress of this and all the work stress combined.. just keep reminding yourself that a destination wedding is supposed to "remove" some of the stress.. in the end - it is about your commitment to each other. End of story!

This is such a great forum!!!!!!!! We all need someone to bring us back to where we need to be, and who better to do that then people who are/is experiencing the same things that we are. I love the fact that when you need help there is always someone out there to lend a hand. All of your words really encouraged me and, at the same time, let me know that I am not alone.

I thank each and every one of you because it would be a little more difficult without you.
