Help...Mexico wedding resort suggestions!

Recommended Posts

So I am looking to have a symbolic ceremony in Mexico June 2014 ...I hope to have 30-80 guests with kids. I want to get married on the beach and have a cocktail hour then dinner and reception on the beach or I am open to a semi private dinner at a restaurant or terrace. I am looking for guests to pay under $200 a night and also I don't want to Soren more than $15000 total for the wedding and trip for myself and my fiancé. I need suggestions on which resorts are the most up to date and can fit my needs...so far I am overwhelmed with where to go because there are so many options....help, please!

I know, I think everyone has been there. It is just so overwhelming! From my research, my decision was between NOW Jade Riviera Cancun and El Dorado Royale, I also toyed with the Dreams Cancun (because of the dolphins). In the end Now Jade won because it was the best offer. I know they have everything you are looking for but be aware that at night you are going to get attacked by bugs at the beach. So my recommendation would be to have the wedding reception at the terrace maybe, you have the beach feeling but no bugs. ;) Happy planning!

are you looking for an all inclusive or Condohotels/European plan hotel? If you see Piers's pics, the second one is from Gran Coral Beach Club... the beach around is very private and they have some apartments  you can rent... You can stay in all inclusive  like Nicole suggests too. In that case though there might be little privacy.... much easier and might be cheaper, though, to handle all people that way. Your budget is quite decent even if 80 people show up.

After you mentioned NOW Jade Cancun I decided to look into it. They do seem to have a really good value, and the resort is just beautiful. If you don't mind me asking, how much will your guests end up paying per night to stay at this hotel, or how much is it for you? Are you traveling with a pre-packaged vacation?

I am also getting married at the now jade and I completely understand about being overwhelmed!  It took me a couple months to research places but I also ended up using destinationsweddings.com to help me.  My guests are paying about $500 pp for 4 nights and $1000pp for 7 nights.  That is for the cheapest room.  The wedding packages I feel are great with the different options they offer and there locations for the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner are also all beautiful and you have different options.  We are getting married on the beach having cocktails at mix bar and reception dinner at carnival terrace!  Although im still in beginning planning stages Feel free to ask any questions,as I just confirmed my date last week!  Happy planning :)

Congrats on setting a date already! I'm thinking of visiting the Now Jade in April on our trip, the price for the rooms is quite reasonable. I'm also looking at the Gran Caribe real in Cancun so we'll see who offers the best for the least amount of money :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
