Playa Del Carmen Bride 2014!!!

Recommended Posts

After all that I ended up going for Azul Fives. To be honest I got tired of looking, haha, and I finally figured nowhere is going to have everything so I better just make a decision!! I feel good about it though, so fingers crossed it all works out!

Hi I am from the UK and looking to get married on riviera maya, I love Azul sensatori but the reviews aren't great and I really want a nice beach. I like the look of Azul Beach hotel but I'm not sure on the reception venues and as we would be there for 2 weeks; do you think its too small? Its so difficult!

Azul Fives is an all-inclusive resort so the food is included.

We are GIVC with Azul Fives and get great rates and extras.

Ladies this seems like a good place for me to get good information.  I am two weeks engaged and I am struggling.  We have dreamed of a destination wedding but we are incredibly frustrated with not being able to see prices.  I like the idea of doing a website or having a TA that can help HOWEVER the prices for guest seem way more than if people book it by themselves.  We went to Playa Del Carmen/Riveria Maya last year for 7 days for 980 all inclusive.  WHY IS IT SOOOO EXPENSIVE FOR WEDDINGS?!?!?!?  P.S. we stayed at the grand sunset princess and it was AMAZING.  However the beach wasn't very wide so I am unsure about where the weddings are held.
Hi, I know a destination venue as Riviera Maya sometimes could be expensive however we so many Resorts options for all kind of budgets. I'm a wedding planner. And help my couples to find their option. If you want I can help you to find the right choise but a dreamy choise. Do not get in panic I assure you there is a dream option for you. :) My e-mail is [email protected]. Best regards,

I am getting married at the Iberostar Paraiso Maya. It is VERY kid friendly and I have stayed there before, loved the food, service, rooms, and beach. Another great thing is that this resort is one of 5 resorts that are all together, so you can give your guests the option to stay at one of the other ones which differ in price. The maya has a lazy river, ice cream parlour, carousel, and great entertainment. I initially wanted to get married at the Iberostar Grand but that one is adults only and I have a 6 year old daughter.

Anyway hope this helps!!

Hello Brides. After much research I decided on Secrets Maroma. It offered everything I wanted, great beach, great reviews, all-inclusive and no kids, sorry for my nieces and nephews but like previous brides have stated this is the bride and grooms day. When I first started I was between excellence, playacar and maroma. I compared all the reviews and excellence and maroma were the runner ups, however you couldn't beat the beach on maroma. Yes maroma is a bit on the pricier side and it feels awful to make family pay to attend your wedding. What I have tried to do is rather than being all about the wedding we are making it a family (large family) vacation ;). Seems silly but so far it's working! Next thing I did was look for a travel agent in my city/state that specialized in maroma resorts. I didn't want to just hire any TA. So I found two, after interviewing them, I fell in love with one and she has been amazing with all info and getting me in contact with the resort. While I don't have set prices yet, since its a 2015 wedding, I have been keeping an eye out for all sorts of sales/promotions for the resort, and looks like they have them year round. Hopefully with a promo plus a group discounts prices won't be as bad. Not worried about airfare since its pretty steady pricing year round. One thing I'd recommend is to sign up for the resort newsletter/email updates, FB them, place them on your Pinterest! You will be surprised as to how much info you can find out from postings. I still have not started any planning, other than the confirmed reserved date for 2015 , I'm starting a bit early just so I don't panic at the end. Happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
