Oh Heidi, no you are not over-reacting, I am so sorry that you have to deal with this on top of everything else you have been through... What a bit@h to treat you like this. Is there anyone over her head, I know it is a small place, but doesn't anyone there understand? I would definitely find out what you can do about this, and definitely what goes around comes around, she will get hers!

If you really wanted to, you could get her by telling the parents exactly what happened. If it were me, I wouldn't want someone like that near my kids!
believe it or not, she is the Executive Director of a child care organization, yes.

Carly, we actually wanted to move out-of-state. He wants to go to FL, I'm leaning towards TX because of job opportunities out there.

What a total cunt (yeah I said the c-word, and she deserves it, but sorry to anyone that hates it). smile67.gif

No you are so not overreacting and agree with everyone re: the FMLA, please at least check it out, and definitely start looking for a job.

So sorry that you had to endure that on your first day back, and I really hope that she gets what's coming to her for treating someone like that (especially you!).

Honestly, that was one of the first things I thought...that it seemed absurd for someone so hard-hearted to work with children.

And I'd like to officially vote for Texas in the upcoming move! No reason...I'm totally un-biased...lol! ;-)

that being said...there are lots of great places here to get a house, in a good neighborhood, with good schools etc. Florida will be prettier for sure (Texas is NOT known for it's beauty in most of the cities) ...but I believe the cost of living is typically higher, harder to buy a house etc.

I'll second that! Austin is actually a pretty place, especially for Texas, but housing is expensive.

But if you really want beach living FL may be the way to go, I know I'd love to live on/near the beach so...

Heidi, I am so sorry your boss does not seem to have an empathetic bone in her, karma will take care of her one day. It sounds as though, unfortunately, their ass is covered though. I really think you should march into her office and take some paid time off that is owing to you. I don't think this is the enviroment you should be in right now, you are vulnerble and I would hate for them to beat you up anymore then you already have been.

Take some time Heidi, heal your body, mind, and soul, and try and figure out what it is you want. I don't think leaving Reggie behind right now is a good idea, I think you need him by yourside supporting you through your difficult days, jmho. I also think you should get a medical note and have it put in your file.

Some people are just selfish, and cruel, I will never understand those who cannot feel someone elses pain.

Heidi we are all here supporting you in our thoughts and in our hearts.

Kelly~

We'd be looking at the Houston, TX area of Ft Lauderdale, FL. We have family in both places, and we want to go somewhere with family! My family (aunts, uncles & cousins) are in TX; his sister is in FL. The housing market in TX is winning us over! wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
