Iberostar Grand Rose Hall Weddings 2014

Recommended Posts

Hello! I am also an Iberostar 2014 bride! My fiancé and I still trying to decide what to do about our honeymoon. We can't decide if we want to stay in Jamaica or try to fly to another island. We're not sure how easy it will be to travel to another island. Any suggestions or advice?!? Thanks!! :-)))

I'm not sure about traveling to another island. You could always honeymoon at The Grand if you are wanting to have alone time after the wedding.

Hello! November 8th reserved at the Grand for us. We are spending the week. Got my dress and bridesmaid dresses so I'm all set there. The thing I am worried about are the options for decorations/flowers and the DJ situation. Also I emailed Loreto but he hasn't answered yet about using our own officiant. All he said was that there had to be the Jamaica guy there as well along with our friend who is officiating. We don't know which parts our friend is able to do and what the Jamaica minister can do. Still waiting. I just don't want it to be very religious. Also I have heard things that the DJ isn't great so do we need to get our own? What about table/chair decorations and flowers?

I heard a rumour that children cannot attend wedding ceremonies here…has anyone confirmed if this is true ?

We are having 2 flower girls and a ring bearer. They are allowed on the beach reception and the ceremony because they are private. They are staying at the suites because other than those 2 exceptions they aren't allowed to stay at the grand.

Hello..glad I found this thread!  Getting married at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall June 2014.  Reading all your ideas, questions, comments and concerns is definitely helpful. I'm still deciding on what I'd like to do for the ceremony and reception.  I have emailed the resort several times to request the wedding package and they keep sending me the package for Iberostar Rose Hall Suites.  Would anyone happen to have the wedding package with the price listings, and cost for add-on's for Grand?  I'm getting frustrated with the back and both emails with the wrong attachments and the waiting time in between for a reply.

We got married at the suites and used the officiant. In your planning meeting they will ask you if you have any problems with references to god etc... We didn't have objections at all and while the officiant mentioned god, our ceremony was not very churchy. We heard varying comments on the DJ so we ended up using Elite Media Concepts for our up lighting, videography, and music. We used Floral Fantasies for flowers and they were amazing. I posted a review with pictures in the reviews tab and in a rose hall suites thread if you want to see some of our flowers etc.... Good luck!

Thank you, yes Loreto has finally emailed us back. He said that we will have a short meeting the days before the wedding to meet with the officiant. You can tell him if you want a more secular wedding ceremony. We will see how that goes!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
