Hello, my fiance and I are getting married December 15, 2013 at the Melia Cabo Real.  Anyone else getting married there or have been to a wedding there that can give me some insight? Im a little nervous going into it blind :/

I fell in love with the resort when I googles Melia Cabo Real Weddings facebook..look at all there photos, AMAZING!! I looked into about 10 different resorts and for the price package at Melia compared to other resorts is phenomenal.  Of course my fiance and I would love to stay at the best resort, but unfortunatley we have to accomidate for guests, and if we want guests to stay at the same resort as us we had to find something reasonable.  I have never been to the Melia Cabo, but have stayed at the Melia Ixtapa and LOVED IT!! My parents traveled to Cabo this January and stopped at the Melia to check it out and said it was gorgous for the price.  I don't know the exact dollar amount I am paying yet bc I haven't gotten the exact head count for our party, but their biggest package starts at 2500  which and it feeds up to 24 guests (incuding drinks) and then its like 60 extra per person after that...I figured if I have 60 guests go it will be around 7500 (food, drinks, flowers, dj,etc)...I know this is their busiest time of year for wedding, so just keep emailing or call them.  Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

Are you picking the grassy ceremony spot or beach?  I am going to go with the grassy spot bc it adds so much color, but we will see once we do our sight visit there in July. lol

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
