Hi Robin......when I said traditional, I meant that I didn't see any DW shots on there. Sorry for the mixup. I hope I didn't offend you.ban.gif

Anyhow I saw your pics from Raeka's wedding and they are unbelievable. I am working with an extremely tight budget, but If i had the money, I WOULD DEFINETLY BOOK YOU. You totally have me SOLD right now....:-(

I think the majority of the resorts have a policy like this. Either the Photographer is booked in the hotel as a guest or there is a fee. However, there is no rule or law that says you cant have VERY good friends with VERY nice cameras. Seriously, they cannot enforce any rule saying your guests cant have nice cameras and be shooting you for free. Something to keep in mind if you want to avoid the fee. We have had to do it before.

My cousin is a photographer and will be shooting my wedding photos, TTD and BD session…. I havenâ€t heard about a fee for having my own photographer…. I did hear that the photographer had to be booked as a guest, but since sheâ€s my cousin there for my wedding she is a guest…. Do you think this is something I should check into? I really am not going to pay them extra because my cousin is shooting my pics!

By the way my wedding is May 29 and my cousin is going to be in Jamaica between May 27 – June 1st (not sure of the exact date she is going to arrive and depart yet). If anyone is going to be there around the same time as me, Iâ€ll ask her if she is willing to consider shooting other weddings or even TTD or BD. Weddings are not her specialty, but she is wonderful (I might be bias since sheâ€s my favorite cousin, but she has been taking pictures of me my whole life and I LOVE every single picture she takes).

I am going to try to post her website (once I get permission and figure out how) so some of her work can be seen.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
