You ladies are hilarious! It's not easy being a bride to be these days. I hope being a wife is easier.

I have major future mother in law drama too but my FI is so awesome I just have to focus on HIM. She doesn't like me because I have a son from a previous relationship. I am a dedicated mom and fiance and she can't see past me having a son. She is so fake with me it drives me crazy. She makes comments about our wedding not being real all the time. She insisted that we get married in a church but luckily I'm marrying an awesome man who very respectfully told her this is OUR wedding NOT hers! Now the 15 additional people...sigh it's like she wants to ruin it. AND!!!! We are paying for her stay. Unreal!! I can vent about that all day!

My friend is bringing a guest and I don't mind but does she really have to come to my wedding? She is bringing a girl with a reputation of being a sloppy drunk and I hope she doesn't act crazy at my wedding.  sigh #2

Two years ago when my fiance's best friend got married they went to Vegas for the bachelor party. Let's just say Vegas is out of the question now! I told my fiance he couldn't do Vegas because his friends were so disrespectful to their wives and future wives on that trip... END OF STORY! He is riding his Harley with a bunch of his friends for his bachelor party and they are going camping...far in the woods away from strippers and HIVS!!!! Men!

My FI has told me stories of what his friends did at other bachelor parties and none of it was good. All of these people were married or in serious relationships. He says he wishes he never told me because he "broke guy code." Too late!

Also, Melissa-- I wanted to take engagement pics at the LACMA light installation so I love your profile pic! Very cool!

Ohhhh I understand completely!! Like I said...I trust the FI (look at what he does for a paycheck) it's his friends I don't trust!! Most are single who pride themselves in the number of girls in their little black book!! They have every intention of making sure my FI gets so drunk he doesn't know his a** from his face which is the ONLY time I don't trust him since he doesn't know what he does when he gets like that!! Scares me to death!! I'm far from thrilled about Vegas (unless we did a joint trip and the fear of running into me would keep them on the straight and narrow...HA) and I know I'm going to have problems keeping my mind in check! Lol! As for the family drama we're right there with you too ;)

I'm  happy to know we are not the only ones paying for their moms to come........

But it still pisses me off! It's not cheap. And I know we will not even get anything from her. Lucky if we get a card saying congratulations!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
