Well I would love to allow him messy nights but honestly he has it better than anyone he knows (guy-wise)...he manages a strip club!! So in my eyes he has an average guy's "bachelor party" every night of the week...needless to say I'm dreading his actual bachelor party which he seems to think will be in Vegas!!! Ummmm we don't have any groomsmen so that should mean no bachelor party riiiight?? ;) Someone back me up here! Lol

Wow!  That's tough!  That would be a bachelor party every night!  You are obviously a strong woman!  That would be tough for me to handle.

We have two weekends before we leave and there has been no bachelor party yet...so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  I know they are harmless....in general....most of the time.....but I just don't like the theme of "celebrating one last night of freedom".

I feel the same way! I don't really have a desire for one (but maybe because that's I'm older than him) so I'm trying not to think about him having one! Lol! Honestly I don't worry about him when he's at work...it's when he's out at "normal" bars that my mind trips me up! Lol! And I trust him 1,000 % until his friends get him stupid messy and then he doesn't know his a** from his face!! Lolol!! Ughhhhh praying to the wedding Gods he doesn't go to Vegas as he's hoping to for his bachelor party! Lol

Hahahahaha!!!  Are we marrying the same person?

I'm older as well and I'm not having a bachelorette party either.....no desire.

Ohhhh I'm so happy to hear this from someone else!! I was beginning to think I was the only weird bride who doesn't want a bachelorette party or shower! Lol! If I had to have a bachelorette I'd rather do a joint one with the FI or a cool spa day but honestly I'd be happy to forgo all of it...just wish he would too!! Lol

I think we highjacked this thread embarrest.gif

I didn't want a shower either.  It's difficult for people to understand.  I'm going to have a hard time being in the spotlight on the wedding day....so the idea of other events like that do not appeal to me at all!

How many years are you guys apart?

I do not want a bachelorette either, and I did not have a shower!

We have been together for almost 11 years, 2 kids, and a house. I just want to be married!!!!

Well I am glad that I am not the only one that is having the uninvited guest problem, I got an updated list from my TA (apperently no one knows how to RSVP) and there were 3 people on it that I have no idea who they are... with a little detective work I found out that it was one of the single girls that I invited that invites some of her friends (PS she is in her 40's you would think that she would know better). Also this weekend we were out with my FI sister and some friends when we found out that his mother invited his aunt and didnt even run this by us... we are the ones paying for her to come AND she has done nothing but complain that she HAS to go but doesnt even want to, she told us that she was going to spend the entire week in her room (on our dollar) so when my FI called her yesterday to figure out the aunt situation, his mom said and I quote, well if I have to be there then you should want me to have someone there that I want to spend time with! Are you kidding me, what about your SON and his future wife...

ahhh that feels better!!! as you can tell there is a little tension between her and I, she figures if it wasnt for me, FI would marry someone that would make the perfect 50's housewife and stay home and cook and clean for her "little" boy... I saw one of those ecards, be nice to your daughter in law, she is sleeping with the person that will choose your retierment home LMAO.

thanks ladies it helped to get it out!!! I am bitting my lip and playing nice, but I have put out full disclaimer that if anyone messes with me the week of the wedding I can kill them (or at least tell them what I have been holding in for 10 months LOL)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
