Hi we decided on the royalton white sands in montego bay, we get married the 2nd April 2015, we didn't really look at any other resorts we loved this one :) we only have a small party of 11 people travelling over with us so not many, we decided to go with the dream wedding package as it seems to include everything we need although we are paying extra for a private wedding reception on the beach, hope this helps x

Hi @@Kayla88 we decided to go with the royalton white sands, can't wait! Going dress shopping today :) x

I think I changed my mind 10 times about the resort. Initially I didn't even look at now jade bc my ideal date wasn't available but then it wasn't available anywhere even though other websites said it was so I revisited the website and just loved the rooms. This was more streasful then picking out my dress lol

Hello all!

I am so happy I found this website, despite my background of wedding planning.  Planning a destination wedding is a different ordeal for sure!  We just set the date for May 29, 2015 at Excellence Rivera Cancun.  Although we have talked to most of the guests we were planning on sending an informal STD email followed up by a formal STD postcard in a few weeks.  That way I have time to get the website together and all the details for my guests to book their rooms.  We will probably send the formal invitations out 6-9 months out, depending on guest response.

Happy planning to all!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
