May 15, 2015 here! Congrats to you! Just curious what stage are you at? My FI and I just decided to start with hiring a WC and are scheduling some interviews this week. Also did you pick a destination yet?
We have put a deposit down for our date at two resorts in Mexico. We will probably go with Now Jade instead of Dreams Riviera, mainly because the package includes 25 people vs 20 at DRC. Haven't made a final decision though. We have also decided on colors. We will pick our bridal party after people pay their deposits. We're doing it this way so no one feels pressured to go. If the people we have in mind can't go, we will only have a MOH and BM. What about you?

Im not sure on resorts just yet. Im looking to do a private reception so im seeking different options. Im going to hire a WC because im driving myself and my FI crazy. We have 6 each in our wedding party that have made commitment to go. I think finding a resort is challenging. I want something giant with either an adults only section or all adults only and the few around are super expensive. Ive stayed at catalonia royal and its amazing just too small for us. We want the option to get lost. Where is the beach club youve mentioned? Are you using a TA or WC?

If you're looking to get lost then the resorts I mentioned above wouldn't be ideal for you. They are located in Mexico...outside of Cancun. They aren't the smallest resorts but getting lost isn't an option either. You should check out the TAs associated with this site. They are awesome! In regards to hiring a WC, I have decided against that. I'm relying on the internet and honest reviews from other brides to guide me.

CONGRATS!!! I was originally a Nov 2014 bride but have decided to puch the date to 2015 sometime to give me a little more planning time.  So glad to see a 2015 post!!!! Excited!!! I am thinking March 2015 around St. Patrick's Day because GREEN is my FAVORITE color!!! :-)

Congrats!!! I am looking at March 2015.  I have been researching Jamaica resorts for the last 4 months and I am positive I will go with Iberostar Rose Hall Suites for my wedding and Iberostar Rose Hall Grand for my honeymoon.

Yes. I am having the ame problem. I want to give my guest at least 10 months to plan and pay for their travel. Hopefully with me moving my date the extra time will help.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
