Now Amber Resort in Puerto Vallarta Brides

Recommended Posts

Wow! I had not realized it was that much extra per person for dinner! Eek....that seems crazy.

has anyone asked where the rain out location is? For the ceremony and the reception?

I'm just going to use the photographer in the package. I don't really have any extra money, so I'm crossing my fingers he will be good.

Now Amber was my number one choice for accomodation for my wedding consisting of about 60-70 guests.  I got a quote from my travel agent with some great prices--about $1500 including flights, but i realized afterwards that the quotes they gave me were for April 2013 instead of April 2014...So i went to the NOW amber website to check prices and it appears that the prices almost double from 2013 to 2014!!  Eg. a room for 2 is around $1900 in 2013 and $3400 in 2014!!!  Does anyone know why this is?  If i book over a  year in advance do you think i could still get the 2013 rates? help! :(

We are just starting planning for oct/nov 2014! I definitely want to stay at the Now Amber but am really loving the beach at the Dreams Puerto Vallarta for the actually wedding. I just dont know if logistically it makes any sense. I have been googling like crazy to see wedding pictures at the Now Amber to help me decide!

Hi there!  We have also booked the Now Amber for our Nov 14th wedding.  We are getting married at the gazebo and having our reception on the pool deck area.  We are having around 50 guests so Im thinking about going with the buffet, only $70 dollers extra a head,  and Im hoping for better choices.  I wasn't impressed with the plated options.  What does everyone think of the prices on the decorations?  Is anyone bringing their own?  I am thinking of going with their DJ and dance floor and renting lighting,  but doing my own center pieces etc.  Would love to hear what other people are doing!

Has anyone whose date is coming up soon discussed in more detail some of the extra costs they have? I'm wondering specifically about the dance floor, I e-mailed them and was told the cost for a dance floor is $800 which seems expensive in comparison to other resorts I have been talking to in the area (usually around $300). Has anyone else come across this? We are thinking maybe the dance floor isn't necessary.

  • 3 weeks later...

lmah - it's just way too early to look for that time frame.  The prices will come down.

Where are you coming from?  All of my guests seemed to be able to go for between 1000-1500 for 6-7 night (this includes flight, hotel based on double occupancy, and all taxes).  We were coming from all over the western USA and from Vancouver.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
