Now Amber Resort in Puerto Vallarta Brides

Recommended Posts

I swear I can't find ANYONE who's been/is getting married at Now Amber Resort in Puerto Vallarta.  Is there anyone out there?

I've booked my wedding at Now Amber for May 2013!  Fingers crossed that it's wonderful, but I'd love to hear from someone who has experience.

Hi,

We are getting married at Now Amber in november. We can't wait, we have been looking for people who have gotten married, or getting married there. How are you finding the planning going with them? We do know people who have stayed there and they said it was wonderful. We booked the divine package. You will have to let us know how your wedding goes.

Hello, My wedding date at Now Amber is in November also. I have not found much information on previous brides getting married there. I assume the reason is that it is a new resort? I really liked the Now Sapphire but Puerto Vallarta was a much more convenient location so I was happy to see they opened a resort there.

Hello ladies! I'm happy someone started a thread for us :) we are getting married December 5 2013! We have just booked our trip, and I am working on invitations as we speak! Candyb when are you sending out your invitations? I don't think I will send out save the dates. (I'm trying to save money and postage) so we thought we would just send out invitations really early. Thoughts??

Well so far it looks like I'll be the first of us!  I'll make sure to post a follow up after the wedding in May.

I haven't been to the resort before, but when we were choosing resorts my parents were in PV so they visited a few and the NOW took their breath away.  They said that if we were having it anywhere it had to be the NOW.  My parents aren't easy to please, so I've got a lot of confidence that it'll be gorgeous.  I've also heard only great things about the food, which is of primary important in my opinion.

So far planning with Edith is going well.  She's responsive. I will say I"m a bit disappointed with the menu options - I mean $95/head for a three course meal?  (We're going with the Divine package as well but we'll be adding about 25 extra people). I"m going to try to negotiate to see if I can get a fourth course added for that price (soup, salad, main, dessert).

Right now it looks like we'll plan to do the ceremony under the gazebo thing and the reception on the poolside deck (between the pool and the beach).

Ladies  - has anyone figured out what they are going to do for a photographer?

Hi Ladies,

Kykai, we have already sent out our invitations and already have people booking with our travel agent. We figured the sooner the better, so people can have time to save if they need to. We are going to have around 50 people so we are also paying the extra 95 a head. Anything you want to upgrade is definitely going to cost you. We are thinking of getting an outside dj because we found one with pretty good reviews for quite a bit less. As for a photographer we are flying down our own and videographer as well. They will follow us around the whole time we are there taking pictures and video until we ask them to stop lol. They're staying for one week but we are staying for two. We are quite excited, Edith has been pretty good to deal with and usually gets back in a timely fashion.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
