Hilton Rose Hall 2013 - Recent weddings/planning

Recommended Posts

Has anyone recently had or planning a wedding at the Hilton Rose Hall? It seems though that there aren't many brides talking about this hotel  - recently at least. Any recent experiences to share? If not, and you were considering it, what was the deciding factor and final decision?

Looks like the majority was the Iberostar, any insight to share?

Thanks!

Cherri,

I'm booked for November 8th, I think I'm hosting everything offsite though. So the group rates that I got from my travel agent ended up being about 50% off the listed rate on the site. WELL, I just checked the site today as our booking window for deposits ends at the end of the month, and the listed rate on the hotel is $250/room a night. It was originally $420. The hotel rate is cheaper, thankfully not by much. Not very happy right now as many guest may decide to book directly with the hotel vs our travel agent and hopefully we don't get penalized if the majority of the guests decide to book directly with the hotel.

Have you set a date yet?

Sheryllj520, Sounds like you have even doing some research like me. I'm driving myself crazy trying to book a resort. I love the pics I have saw from the hilton but I am getting frustrated not being able to connect with the wc I have called so many times and just get a voicemail it's not putting a good first impression. I am hoping to book this week I have two other resorts I'm looking at the iberostar rose hall beach an riu Montego Bay. But I would love to see if the hilton has our date which is 11/12/13? I just want to talk to someone ugh frustrating. I have even done the online request a long time ago and haven't heard anything. How did you reserve your date? I am getting a voicemail of Charlene I believe but she never answers the phone. Sorry I'm venting but I just want to book the date. I'm sure your guests can book either way but are u getting a group discount from the ta? I am having my guests book through the ta cause its much easier.

I didn't try to contact Charlene directly before I started planning, however ultimately we realized an offsite ceremony and reception was a better option for us. I'm in the process of putting together the details and I've been working with Sadeki of www.chic-eventsja.com  So far the experience has been much easier than trying to find info myself and offsite options look awesome! Do you have any info on the Hilton wedding packages yet or have a date set? Feel free to PM me with questions, I have some Hilton package details if you need them!

I too am looking at this resort, but my date isn't until 2015.  Please keep updating on your progress, or lack thereof - I will be checking frequently.  We all want our days to go smoothly, good luck ladies.  I just emailed the resort with questions, I will post when/if I hear back!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
