Rehearsal Dinner Question

Recommended Posts

The rehersal dinner is done the nite or a couple of nites b4 the wedding. With a destination wedding, most of the girls call it a welcome dinner and invite all of their guests who have travelled to celebrate the wedding. It is often a wonderful way for all of the guests to meet and get to know one another. Traditionally it is hosted by the parents of the groom. BUT, DWs are not so much traditional. Sometimes the bride and groom are paying for everything themselves. The food has nothing to do with what you are serving at your reception, it is completely separate. If you do a search on this forum under "Welcome Dinner" or "Rehersal Dinner", you will find out a lot on how the brides are doing theirs. I hope this helped you somewhat.

I also have a rehearsal dinner question. This is for anyone who is having the reception dinner at Mammee Bay. Where are you having the rehearsal dinner?? I'd like to have it at a different restaurant.

Just wanted to check in with all of you before I email Chandlyn about it!

We're having our rehearsal dinner the night before (Friday). I have talked to Chandlyn about this and we are doing a "run through" of our wedding with her and my wedding party @ 6pm and then we will all meet for dinner at 6:30 pm. She is just pushing a bunch of tables together for us (I think at the buffet dinner) and then we wil all go to the beach party after. I think if you have a small group you can go to one of the restaraunts, but since my group is large we will just do the buffet with the tables together. I have invited everyone to join for dinner, but since most people are arriving that day, we'll give a final count to her when we get there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
