2013 Grand Palladium Punta Cana BRIDES!

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if there is a sand service available, or is this something you need to bring yourself?  And what are you ladies thinking about giving out as like a wedding favor to your guests?
It depends on your package...it would say what it does/doesn't include. I kno the silver package doesn't include so we are bringing our own. Just gotta figure out what script to bring to do it with. And besides OOT bags, we are probably goin to do little palm tree mint boxes and disposable cameras. I think our OOT bags will have plenty of keepsakes for our guests. :)

Hello!! I love coming here on my lunch break, it helps break up the day!!! Anyways,The DJ is $300 for 3 hours and must be paid in cash? Do you reserve that once you get there or can we reserve it prior to arrival (that I prefer). Was anyone that has visited GPPC able to get some pics of the colors that they use? Also, for those doing the legal ceremony, is the ceremony really only 10 minutes or did it last a little bit longer than that? Good News is the fiance and I finally booked our photographer (HDC)!! We really aren't excited about that resort money that we have to pay to get them on but its smaller than it would having it in D.C. Plus our invitations are on the press as we speak. As any bride knows getting the photographer settled is huge and the invitations on the press is a big check of the list (fistpump). I must be missing something but I hear of things about the BBQ and the Beach Party? I only received something that said the reception only includes a 3 course meal....I've got to be missing something. If I can get more info about the BBQ I can at least bring it to future hubby's attention and see if we would consider that. Anyone have any thoughts? OMG 8 months away and counting!!

Hello!! You do have to pay for the Dj in cash which you will do once you get there but youcan book it ahead of time, Carolina will send a form through e-mail pretty much just asking for your names and date and the services you want. This way you definitely know its available ahead of time! The wedding ceremony really is just 10 min. long, althought It felt longer..lol it is pretty quick. We didn't write our own vows or anything but I atleast thought we would have to recite the vows after,

Yeah ours is a little higher and we depart November 27th- Dec 4th. I would have like to keep it below $1200 tx incld.  But we had a really hard time trying to get quotes from agents, I was starting to get really frusterated.  But we did end up getting a quote for $1248 if paid in full by april 30th, and if not paid in full by then it does go up $80 $1328, so we took it lol.  Our child rate is the same as what you got.

I have to say, that hunting-for-the-right-price was the MOST frustrating time ever! lol I had about 4-5 different agents emailing me and calling.  It was hard to keep track of....and every tour operator/airline with different payment policies and procedures.  But it was really important for me to keep the price below the $1200 mark as I really want to make it comfortable for my friends/family to come.  We could have gone with a more pricier resort but then the wedding packages are higher as well...so the GPPC is a good choice...it was definitely the best choice for us.  And yes...since you're goin into December, the price will go up...the closer you get to Xmas, the higher it goes.  but $1248 is not too bad!.  Good luck!! :)

Ok, so I heard back from Caroline, and our " vow renewal" ceremony has been reserved! Yay!!! lol  But I am still sooooo confused as to how many people are included.  She informed me in the email that ONLY 8 were included, and $20 US for every extra.

Is there NOT a package that can be picked for more guests??? ( which obviously it can because I have read through the threads and responses from you ladies)......and then the Palladium website states that the price quoted for the silver is good for a maximum of 50 people.  I would love to get this cleared up with Caroline ( another email sent last night) to know how much roughly we are going to be spending.  worried2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
