Hi Kara! Welcome to BDW!!

This site is AWESOME for researching resorts and various options for destination weddings. I don't think I could have planned my wedding without the other brides here!

I think the first place to start is to narrow down WHERE you want to go - Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Caribbean Island, somewhere else.

From there, it's choosing the resort based on your priorities for your guests - anything from cost, food, activities, nightlife, wedding packages, incentives, resort vs. hotel feel, etc.

It's easy to get overwhelmed, but do your research on the various resorts and locations here, and Trip Advisor too. And then narrow it down. I always kept my top 3 choices in mind, and eliminated others. So if I found a new resort that I liked, it had to beat out one of the other three on the list to stay. Once I went through all of those resorts and had my top 3, it was much easier to build a comparison of each resort, their packages, amenities and costs.

Good luck, and happy planning!
