Newbie here!!! I am sooo excited to explore this website!!!! :D My boyfriend of 4.5 years proposed to me on July 18, 2012 (my 20th birthday) at the Brookfield Zoo Dolphin Show in Illinois :) We will be getting married on May 25, 2015! <3 We do not have many details yet but we do know that we want to have our dream wedding somewhere in the Cancun area. Our budget we would like for our guests is under 2000$ a person. We would really like an All Inclusive Resort. :) Anyone know of any opinions on where we can have our wedding?? I am looking forward to meeting all the Brides and helping plan our dream weddings together! CONGRATS TO US ALL!!! YAYY

Congrats on your engagement FutureMrsPerez, and upcoming wedding! plus on choosing the Mayan RIviera for your destination wedding,

It's incomparable beauty inspires LOTs of wedding couples to come here for their Big Day, and we've had numerous weddings at the magnificent Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe. Here are some magical wedding "moments that matter" Linc has captured there, with more at an album link here........to show you how beautiful it is!

Wishing you all the best with your plans, and wonderful journey ahead! Enjoy :)

Hi ladies.  I'm a bride that is getting married this May 2014 in Playa.  I am doing the reception at Kool beach club, but did a little bit of research prior on some resorts and other locations.  Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!  I was totally lost at first, and there was A LOT I didn't know when I started out the planning process in terms of budget, ect.  Good luck and happy planning!

Welcome! Congrats! I am also a newbie...to this site, though we have been engaged for over a year. I live Chicago as well and plan to get married in Tulum in 2015. Just thought I would say hello! I do not have any suggestions but you may want to check out places in Playa Del Carmen as well. It is about 45 minutes south of Cancun and a little bit more of a relaxed vibe than Cancun. 5th avenue is tons of fun with shops, great restaurants and bars. We saw a few hotels setting up for weddings (and a rehearsal)  when we were in Playa this Summer and it looked like it was going to be a beautiful event!

Good luck planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
