Hello mrsmazzantti,

As a wedding planner in the Riviera Maya, If you are looking for hotel closer to town, that is family friendly then try PlayaCar Palace, has an amazing beach and beautiful grounds. Prices are so affordable too.

Hey Mrs. Mazzanti!

One great thing about the Royal is its very central location!  Being right downtown will give you and your guests access to all the town has to offer and makes it super easy to book any outside services you may want.  For some more advice on your planning process check out CHOOSING A RESORT from our website!

Happy Planning!  Let us know how we can help!

I got married there one week ago! Here's my review - maybe it will help you decide? We had a fabulous time - you can't beat the location (I highly recommend staying in Playa over just along the Riviera - gives your guests a lot more to do and see). Also, the resort is beautiful, and although I got a little tired of the food, all-inclusive is so much easier for a group, and it has the best I have had at any!

Feel free to ask any questions.

Dare to be different... Why not an off resort wedding? there are so many options, you can get married in a lovely garden in the heart of Playa, in a cenote tucked away in the jungle or at a secluded beach club! There are so many different ways to say I do in the Riviera. Here a few photos for you to get inspired. I know many brides worry about Mexico and violence, but i have lived here for 17 years and my teen age daughter is as safe as she would be in Chicago or Houston... or maybe more! The most important thing is that you choose what inspires You. Get as much info as you can... that is the secret to have a great wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
