The Grande does look very nice... well they all look amazing - I feel like I can't make a wrong choice!   I am pretty sure I am going to go with the Halcyon though.

I like that it seems to be the smaller, more relaxed one of the three.   Considering my guest list I think everyone would be most comfortable there.  Also, it seems to be the least expensive and since I am asking everyone to go all the way to St. Lucia I thought I'd save them some money without compromising what I want.

I love that you can visit all three of the resorts no matter which one you stay at - I feel like I am getting such a bargain!!

How many people are you planning on having at your wedding?

You can't go wrong at any Sandals property. I am not sure how many people are attending yet. RSVP deadline is August I am thinking 20, which is just what I want but I have reserved space for 40.

I'm curious how long did you give your guest to RSVP from the time you sent your invites?

Many times RSVP dates are scheduled based on the requirements if the resorts. I suggest at the latest a week prior to your final cancelation dates so you can drop unneeded rooms with our major penalty.

Oh okay - I plan on making mine two months after I send the invites - which will be 10 months before my wedding HAHa  I think that sounds crazy - but I have a reason...

I was just curious what your time frame was.

We has a marriage but not a wedding. This is finally the sentimental and emotional experience I have craves since I was that terrified little girl at city all signing paperwork. I am SO EXCITED!!!!

AWW congrats, same here although it will only be 5 years we signed papers and went home to sleep.. LOL I have attempted to plan 3 weddings and have failed in all of them. Mostly because I was listening to other people's opinion and jsut got so mad that I would cancel last minute ( very stressful). This time around our daughters looked at me and said " mom we want to see you in a beautiful wedding dress, and have a real wedding". I am attempting it again, happier than ever. more in love then I was 7 years ago, and with positive thinking. I figure people go on vacation all the time, just because, how hard can it be to go because a family member or friend is having a wedding??? If you can't make it sorry to hear that, we will still go on with our plans. Stay positive ladies, and dont let anyone rain on your parade, try to keep your plans to yourselves so that other people dont make you feel bad.!!!

Hi, I'm getting married June 21st 2014. I did about three weeks of research before choosing a resort. We went with the palace resorts(Cozumel). All of the palace resorts look amazing, the reviews for the palace Cozumel seemed to top others. All the palace resorts offer a complementary wedding package- there are others to choose from as well. I think we will get the most for our money, and a five star experience from what Ive been reading. Happy planning, and congratulations!!!

ps- some of the palace resorts don't allow kids, so that was a big part of my decision because we have two children.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
