Hi all!!! Me and my other half are getting married in 2014! Looking into Mexico or Antigua! Any recommendations? We really want the ceremony on the beach and will probably have around 15 people come with us (friends, family etc...) Literally have no idea where to start so any tips or help would be much appreciated!!! X

Hello,

I am also getting married in 2014, probably in August. We are looking at Cancun or Riviera Maya. I was told by my destination wedding advisor that Cancun's beaches are better when compared to Riviera Mayans. I am looking at Beach Palace and Moon Palace but have not yet been able to decide.

Congrats!!!

Sorry, I pressed the wrong button lol but I believe the following are adults only. I believe the one in Cancun is not All-Inclusive, but the others in Riviera Maya are. Also, I was quoted $1066 p/p on the Dorado Resorts and around $1024 for Azul

  • CANCUN
    • Le Blanc Spa Resort

  • RIVIERA MAYA
    • El Dorado Maroma
    • El Dorado Seaside
    • El Dorado Casita Royale
    • Azul Villa Esmeralda

Hope this helps,

Liz.

Hi Carla - congrats!!!

The first thing is to figure out where - Mexico vs. Antigua. Both locations are gorgeous!!

I don't know much about Antigua, other than it's amazing, so I'm not much help. But Mexico has a bunch of lovely adults-only all inclusive locations. We chose El Dorado Royale for our wedding, and it was just a dream.

If you don't have one yet, I'd highly recommend working with a travel agent, regardless of your group's size. It'll make your planning much easier, especially if they are destination wedding specialists - they know the ins and outs of the resorts and the event planning aspect.

If I can answer any questions, please feel free to ask!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
