Has anyone ever used floating candles for the pool near Zavas Plaza? How many do you need to look nice?

I just received my confirmation.  My wedding will be June 6, 2014 at Azul Sensatori.  I am very excited and will be pouring over all of the information on this forum.  Thank you for organizing it so well.

Hello ladies! This is my first post so I hope I'm doing it right lol! I am getting married April 27, 2014. I haven't booked a DJ yet we are using an outside photgrapher and paying the outside fee. I have heard lots about DJ Dorremix but is it necessary to pay the outside vendor fee for a DJ if you are creating basically the entire playlist yourself anyway?? Anyone have experience with DJ All Music from Lomas?? Any input would help. I would like to get this booked soon

Hello there,

I'm in the process of constructing my wedding website for guests and was wondering if any one had any good descriptions or photos that I could put up to show how wonderful the resort will be. I want to make sure I do a good job of showing my guests the value they are getting for their money!

Any other suggested info you all found helpful to include on your websites that I can send people there instead of repeating it over and over would be great!

Thanks!

Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, Here is the link to my website you are more than welcome to take anything off of mine http://aprilandmatt.weddingwindow.com/indx.cfm. I made sure to list all of the awards that the hotel has received as well as a video that I found on YouTube about how Karimsa grows all there veggies on premises and how they have a major water purification system on site and how they are striving to go green and e sustainable. This video really helped put some of our guests minds at ease, ESP. Thoes who have never left the country!

14 days until my wedding day and 12 days left until we leave!! I had my first nightmare last night about missing the plane and issues at the airport! I am starting to get sooo excited and am hoping the weather holds out for us. I called the airline to give them a heads up about about my dress and they did not seem to know what to do. They told me my dress would be considered my carry on, not my personal item and I would only have a place to store it if the plane has a closet(which they could not tell me) and if the airline stewardesses were accommodating. I was a little annoyed by this. They even suggested I put it in a box and put it in with checked luggage!! I was appalled! Can any other bride share there plane experience with me so I know what to expect. Thanks ladies!

I used DJ All music and he was great. The music was great and even with a group of only 35 it still felt like a big party.

Unfortunately most airplanes do not have closets anymore. Try to board the plane as soon as you can to reserve space in the overhead bin....yes this is the only place to store your dress. To help your dress travel well, I would suggest hanging it in a good garment bag, and if possible hang white tissue paper around it. This way if you have to fold your dress to place it in the overhead bin, the tissue paper helps the dress from creasing. As well, make sure your dress goes on top of bags...not under them!

But don't worry, I think the vast majority of us brides have all travelled this way, and the dresses have survived!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
