I'm really sorry, I don't really understand your question? If there are things you want to know about that are not covered in this thread feel free to ask your WC or ask us. You will actually be dealing with two different WC's. The first one is based in Miami and will help you plan your wedding, fill out your detail spreadsheet and make arrangements/reservations (this is all done via email and telephone). The second WC will be met onsite in Mexico. They are the ones that are in charge of actually putting your wedding together.

The only thing I can think of is asking your WC to reserve a specific location for your wedding, and to check that there is enough time for your ceremony before sunset.

I would be able to have the ceremony at 6:30 pm on the beach which is fine. I am just concerned about the reception portion. We have not decided whether or not to have the semi- private event or private event. I am just concerned abou teh location of the recpetion if we decide to do a private event because I asked what locations would be available and the wc was not able to give me an answer...

If your reception is semi-private but it is going to be at plaza zavas can you still have a ipod rental and how long is the semi-private event? Do you decorate as well?

To be able to have your reception at Zavas Plaza you must pay for a Private event.

The semi-private event that is included in some of their wedding packages is ONLY available to be held in Spoon restaurant. They pull a heavy curtain across a section of the restaurant and you end up in a fairly quiet little corner. As well you are provided with your own waiters (maximum 40 people. Above that number there is an additional charge) You cannot use an Ipod at the Spoon restaurant, but you are welcome to bring decorations for the tables to decorate. (they will not hang anything in Spoon restaurant) I believe the semi-private event is 2-3 hours (but I'm not sure).

You can also use the 'semi-private' event for a brunch or lunch. In this case you may be able to get in a different restaurant. (we used ours as a brunch at the Zavas restaurant; and there was a ton of amazing food for brunch)

Has Karisma given any sort of logical reason as to why this package is available to Canadians in all the other markets but this one?

My TA said it's a constant issue, but wasn't able to give me any concrete reasons as to why the clause exists.

Karisma has not given an official reason that I am aware of. But the packages and promotions are constantly changing. Perhaps they are not able to offer this promotion due to other agreements with tour operators in that market currently (it's just my guess).

But if you use a GI certified travel agent, you get many additional promotions which can help when planning for your special day! Good luck.

Hello Karisma Resort Brides & Grooms,

I have a bunch of single and double upgrades available so if you have not booked your room yet and are interested in an upgrade, please email me: Karisma Hotels Single & Double Upgrade Certificates

To see if what rooms qualify for the upgrades see the chart in this thread: Wright Travel Agency: Karisma GIVC & GI Wedding Consultants

These upgrades are only available if you book with Wright Travel Agency.

I also have a limited supply of upgrades so they will be given first come, first served.

thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
