ROR 2013 Brides

Recommended Posts

That's awesome Sunshinybride.

When is your wedding??  We are down to 126 days!!  I'm starting my tanning next month so I'm nice and tan when I get there (red heads tend to burn pretty quickly).  I just finished my DIY luggage tags, and I have all my supplies to do my wedding wands next.  And yesterday all my rose petals arrived for me to do my isle borders.  I'm ready to go!!  LOL

Soon2b2013, So if your wedding reception is offsite what about your ceremony? From my understanding if your ceremony is indeed onsite, than your two guests that aren't staying there will have to pay that fee IrishGirl was talking about. Essentially its a daypass to access the hotel/resort regardless if your reception is there or not. Unfortunately they nickle and Dime every penny out of us!
My ceremony is on site. I told Kesha I didn't want the drinks and cake because my reception is off site and immediately following the ceremony. But, I still have to pay $5.50 per guest to attend the wedding even if they are staying at the resort.

Congratulations brides of 2013! I am interested in choosing ROR for my 2014 ceremony. I got married on March 22nd 2013 at a court ceremony and I'm planning to do the full celebration on my anniversary date in 2014.

I am in NY but will be moving back to MD in a few months so shout out to the DMV people on the thread.

irishgirlmd: I have not seen pics of the disco either so I am looking forward to your pics and words of advice.

Cam Tu Ho: I am excited about your pool reception. Waiting to hear details of how that turns out.

I am hoping to visit in July to make a decision on where exactly is the best spot for me. I am hoping to send out RSVPs after to determine what my final number will be but I'm expecting to cross 40.

Cam Tu Ho: Why did you want to go with the private dinner poolside? Just a preference based on party size or wanting privacy? The total extra charge was $600 for all 60 guests poolside?

Or is there another fee outside of set up?

Hey Sarshab,

Wow it's been awhile since I've been on here.  I got promoted at work and I've had no free time lately.  I will most def try to post pics of the disco after I get home.  We're only 60 days out.  Super Excited!

My finance and I are in the middle of choosing a resort and we are 99% sure we are going to choose this one.  Our tentative date is December 6th 2013 and I have one day left to confirm the date :s.  I didn't think it would be this stressful to plan a destination wedding.  Clearly I am too much of a planner/control freak :)- and am having a hard time committing to something that I can't see our visualize.

I was just wondering what type of ceremony you are planning on having considering that you are already married.  Can you still have a civil or religious ceremony at the resort? Or just a "renewal of the vows" ceremony? I would prefer to do the same thing as you so that we don't have to worry about notarizing and sending our legal documents. I'm wondering if the resort will still allow that.

Your date is just around the corner! I've read from other threads that Tai Flora is more expensive than Jan's Bridal and Flowers.  Although if you advise Tai of the price difference they will meet and beat it.  Just a thought.

Where are you having your ceremony? and dinner/reception?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
