Alright, I am going to be very brave and post my weigh in weight out here.

If I don't do it, I will hide behind a wall of shame, and pretend it isn't there. That it wasn't what it was. So here I am, embracing all the ugliness of the scale this morning, and vowing to make me a lot better!

400

:( And I don't have a single excuse for it- no baby weight, no illness. Just pure gluttony and laziness. So there, my big fat (ha!) secret is out there.

400

And here are two body shots from this morning.

Okay, it's out there, so now, it will all change.

To health, happiness, and a skinnier me!

I weighed in this morning but was heavier then I had been all last week, so I think I might stick with the Wednesday weigh in as well.  I know it's only a few lbs, but that number on the scale just didn't seem right to me this morning.

Then again we were a tad gluttunous this weekend.  Went to a banquet dinner and it was buffet Japanese/Chinese at the place we had our AHR and we love it there and totally overate.  But it was so good.

My sisters boyfriend just did nutri-system for two months and lost 20 lbs, but he said he couldn't do it anymore b/c he's a vegatarian and likes to cook and the prepacked food was driving him insane.  So he gave me his leftovers.  I'm not doing the whole diet, but I figure if I replace some meals (like lunch) with those, that will be good portion control.  And I ate 1 or 2 of the meals already and they were pretty good.

Congrats to everyone that is making this a priority!  Any loss is a good loss, so I hope we all are down at least 1 lb by next week!  But most likely even more since the first week tends to be the best.

And kudos to you for sharing your weight and facing it headon!  I don't think I'm that brave.

Agreed. The number on the scale this morning was higher than normal- but it's what I am dealing with today. The weekend consisted of a whole lot of horrible eating (my birthday on Saturday and Superbowl yesterday), so that number jumped up a few pounds from last week.

I think you are brave simply talking about it, and knowing what you have to do to fix it. For me, putting it all out there makes me more responsible and means I can't hide from it (like I like to do). So for me, this is how I will have to keep myself accountable. It's not for everyone, and trust me, it was terrifying typing it, and hitting submit. Took me about 15 minutes to do it. And then I had to talk away for a moment, so I wouldn't go find a way to try and delete it.

I think I will also post mine here. I am now officially at my highest weight since me and my fiancé met. I know it's still nothing crazy but to think that when we first got together I was almost exactly 20lbs less blows my mind. Even last summer I started at 125 and managed to get down to 120 with the help of some girls here from BDW but that was short lived. I knew I had gained it back but I think I was in denial that I gained another 5lbs on top of it, I haven't even worn jeans since Christmas, just been living in stretchy pants. Well that all ends today!!! I am now officially exactly 3 months out from my wedding! And I go for my first dress fitting in 6 weeks. I would love for them to tell me they have to take it in as it was fitting fairly snug. To lose 10lbs again would be great but i just want to feel comfortable in a bikini as I have zero muscle tone right now. 400

Thank you for being brave & posting your number as well! Gave me a chuckle that our numbers are inverted... but just goes to show me how much work I have to really put into the next little while!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
